Well, a free monster for 15 pounds seems like a fair deal. Yes, you might not want Alix but who doesnt one of Mierces big monsters? See it as a tax you have to pay to get something for free.

It's not quite 'free' as you have to buy Alix at ‎£15, and then pledge at least ‎£100 to qualify for a free monster.

Still a good deal, but just wanted to make it clear!

I actually wound up dropping my pledge to £10 then giving my actual pledge money to my buddy, to combine into his pledge, allowing him to up his pledge to £300 so he could get a tier 5 monster (he's just gotten into Darklands after seeing my years worth of collection, so I figured I'd help him out)

That was an awesome finish, congrats to Mierce! Nice of them to unlock the variant Savrar unit, too (and makes sense if they're already sculpting one type). I'm interested to see how they look when designed for the smaller 30mm bases, hopefully still dynamic / not too small. Should be doable if they don't mind having their arms / tails extending off the bases.

KS apparently had a bug with prevented about 40 peoples pledges being collected for the recent Mierce KS,

After poking by both Rob and (some of) the backers effected this issue has now been fixed

Rob is back and has taken a brief break from email answering etc to pop a comment on the Metal Age KS comments

there are going to be some unavoidable changes to the shipment schedule, unavoidable for many reasons (some of which just not in our control). I will do this properly next week, when I do an update here, but here's a brief summation:

Albainn Gairlom: February 2016 - Valentin Zak is working on the Gairlom as we speak
Anglecynn Duguth: before Christmas 2015 hopefully - in production
Anglecynn Gesith: February 2016 - Gesith alternates required
Atalantes Oplites: February 2016 - unsculpted, but sculpting should begin at the end of November
Brythoniaid Teulu: February 2016 - Teulu alternates required
Brythoniaid Rhyfelwr: before Christmas 2015 hopefully - in production
Byzantii Legionarius: February 2016 - Legionarius alternates required
Byzantii Demilegionarius: February 2016 - unsculpted, In III Judas in progress

As you can see, there's some other hosts in production where some have to be put back, and others are evolving quicker or slower than before.

Again, I'll make sure this is clear in the next update here.

You must bear in mind, here, that shipments WILL depend on your shipment items regardless of the above changes, so if you've not got enough shipment items, we can't guarantee a shipment on time.

Also bear in mind that Tim has to re-mould (from the master) every sculpt again so that we get perfect copies for the metal casters. This takes time, and impacts on other production! So even if we have everything with us, there's no guarantees we can get things done on time.

As always, please be patient - this metal lark is all new to us. We are getting there!

It's been a while but check these!

Men, Wolves and Demons

After a bit of a hiatus thanks to a holiday and being very busy afterwards, it's time for an update on progress for this project!

This week we have...
•sculpt work in progress images from Benoît Cosse, Yannick Hennebo and Valentin Zak;
•a list of what miniatures are currently being sent in their various waves;
• an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;

...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Let's begin!

The last stragglers from this project are getting done, and done well - by Valentin Zak and Benoît Cosse and Yannick Hennebo!

It's been a while since we've seen anything from Valentin Zak but the wait has definitely been worth it.

Who would think that hairy-arsed Picts could look so good?

Brusta is the champion of the unit and he is looking mean and moody...

He should be finished shortly.

The unit's bannerman goes by the name of Nectan and he's certainly grim!

Grim he may be, but what a miniature.

The Gairlom herald is one Fidaich...

He blows horn!

The first warrior of the unit is called Oinuist...

Another mean looking feller!

These Gairlom warriors look brilliant - see Smertae for evidence!

We're hopeful that these guys will be a Wave 10 shipment, but we'll see. There's the bannerman and herald alternates to do yet, too!

It's been even longer since we've heard anything about the lovely Rēoc's Pack... but, once again, the wait has been worth it. Taken over by Benoît Cosse, these wolves look the part for sure - although, as always with BN, his images leave a little to be desired...

The champion of the unit, Rēoc (pronounced "Ree-ok") is in great shape...

Yes, that's a 40mm round circle (well, technically 36mm, as of course the base has a surround)...

Brega (pronounced "Brey-a") is a nasty looking feller...

We're loving that fur!

The last warrior of the unit is Hædo (pronounced "Ha-doh"), and he's a bit snarly!

Rēoc's Pack should make it into Wave 10, we hope...

The fantastic sculptor known as Yannick Hennebo has completed the first miniature from the Demilegionarius unit... the champion, Judas!

What a sculpt. Breathtaking! Judas is everything we could have wished for, and more...

We're hoping In III Judas will be a Wave 10 shipment, but with four miniatures to go that might be stretching things.

Birds and Rats

We've two miniatures to show you in this update, for the Norse (by Roberto Chaudon) and the Vras (Yannick Fusier)... both bloody brilliant!

It seems that one of Roberto Chaudon's great strengths is, well, birds! When we first gave him the Norse war birds we thought they'd be good, but now we'll never give any birdy types to anyone else... see Vaenhildr, our superb Fellhrafn, for evidence!

...and here's Vaenhildr in her natural habitat...

Vaenhildr will be a Wave 10 shipment, and of course this means Allan Carrasco will be sculpting Birna on Fellhrafn soon... we hope.

Yannick is cracking on with Blunt-Claw and his Goz-Horror... for this update, some armour plating and accessories for the Goz-Horror!

We do hope that he'll be a Wave 10 shipment, but Yannick is always busy around Christmas time as he does a lot of nativity work.
