Hello Dakka

I thought it would be great to show you all my continuing planned changes to my army, following the release of Codex: Chaos Space Marines 6th edition.

As well as that, I thought I'd give a little plug for my associated blog's current mini-series: Chaotic Marines and Deviant Astartes, where I'll be talking about different aspects of the new codex, from new units to army lists:
http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/

To start off, here's a few images of my Hellsmith and Forgefiend.

The Hellsmith, in this darkish picture, is based on a metal Techmarines, with lots of GF9 cables, daemon spares and chaos spares. He also wields a Burning Brand of Skalathrax, which is modelled using a Forgeworld Tartaros Pattern Terminator's Heavy Flamer.

Also, here's a WIP of the fiend, with a base which has been altered using miliput.

Enjoy, and expect further updates soon This might include a colour pic of the Hellsmith

Update time!

Well, first off, here's a related blog plug , in which I discuss the new codex in terms of how army lists will be changed: http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/chaotic-marines-and-deviant-astartes_11.html

After you've looked at that, here are some pictures of the finished Hellsmith I was also planning to show you some progress on the Forgefiend, but my camera, in it's infinate wisdom, decided to run out of power Enjoy, and if you do, there are many more pics on the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.476732752366781.103788.324971324209592&type=1

Mini update time.

Well first, some housekeeping. I've noticed that I've been calling my new HQ choice a Hellsmtih, not a Warpsmith. I'll surely become a spawn after that error.

Anyway, that update. Got a picture of a WIP Forgefiend. One of the arms is nearly complete, as I have been testing a paint scheme for it, and have practiced red/orange plasma, especially for this model

Enjoy the pic, and for those interested, here is a link to the build progress/review article of the kit: http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/chaotic-marines-and-deviant-astartes_13.html

Could do yeah Was on about heading to Wales with the girlfriend next summer, am sure I'll have permission to get a good game in

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Time for a Forgefiend update

Since last time, I've completed the blue, and have started the gold trim. So much trim.... It started off as Sycorax Brone, then Gehenna Gold. In these pictures, a Reikland Fleshshade wash is in the process of drying. It will be finished off with Shining Gold and Mithril silver.

Also, I thought I'd show you this, the WIP of a Power Fist/force sword armed chaos Sorcerer, mid duel. Enjoy

Indeed It's simply the fire part of a torch from the Empire Flaggelant kit.

Cheers Might have something in the next few days. Today I've been messing around with Army Painter's coloured sprays, so I don't think there will be much tonight

Update for you all!

In case you haven't seen it, here's my completed Forgefiend, with more pics here: http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/showcase-chaos-space-marine-forgefiend.html

Also, here are a couple of WIP Mutilators I've been working on this weekend. They sound like a fun unit, and I had some useful components, especially the Grey Knight Terminators, who have been retired since I bought the Tartaros ones. They use GK bodies, possessed parts, some bits from the Tartaros termis, plasticard spacers on the waist, thighs and feet, Steam Knight melmets, some plague knives and lots of GS.

the Mutilator on the left has had its chest resculpted, and I think this bulked up armour plate works well on the model.

Enjoy, and please comment
