ok, maybe not the best ever, but i needed an attention grabber! i took the WL out of my other list, saved some points and added them in the GH units to give them an extra punch. i like MoTW, but im willing to switch for a PA instead. im coming back from deployment and have bee reading the BRB and seeing where things have been heading in the game. in the mean while i bought everything i need for my wolves and cant wait to get back to gaming!

MoTW is superior to a power axe

I play against a list like this all the time. Substitute TWC for Guard allies and add an Aegis Line and that's what stomps me.

Yeah i know everyones doing the whole IG/SW allie thing and im sure its money, but i want to play with just the wolves. i really like TWC, and i hear mixed things about them, so we'll see? i figured since i have 5 troop units i could splurge on the TWC.

Well I was going to say that your list is bland and boring but I do have to give you 100% props for keeping to pure codex

Yeah the TWC is a good unit. Don't charge Flamers of Tzeentch if you see 'em. That's probably their "bad news bears"

im not going lie it is a little boring but, troops are the thing now and im not sure 4 units are enoough anymore? also with the lack AA, 3 LF's are a must in a 2000pts list. hey if i didnt face 30 TH/SS termies on a tuesday night, which is suppose to be a "friendly " game then i wouldnt spam so much.

I'd lose a couple of SS from the TWC, they seem a little too redundant. It's unlikely the wounds you receive can't be allocated to the SS models anyway.

I consider drop-pods superior to rhinos in every way. This might be model restriction though, but if you have drop pods, use them!

So much plasma! No enough melta. You're going to struggle against enemy armour.

I definitely second keeping the MotW. It's great for 15 points, especially when combined with a Wolf Standard.

In a 2000pts list, 4 troops are a decent amount, especially if they're rocking power armour.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

So would you drop the Rhinos and use all drop pods? Maybe switch two of the PG for meltas?

Sorry esolo, this is a really good list so I may have to steal it from you sometime

In short, yes. They cost the same, they can't be stopped before they get to their destination. The ones that come on turn 2 deploy without scatter (if you have another pod near by) and if you go second, half your force is immune to shooting. DPs can also force LoS problems with opponents slowly moving tanks. Rhinos are just first blood bait.

I'd swap 2 squads of PG for melta for some sexy anti-tank and also if you ever want to assault.

sorry i havent replied sooner, but overseas so. i'm hearing mixed things about rhinos, but what do you do against other drop pod arnies or deep striking armies? the TWc and the LF would be left on the board and get shot to pieces, then i would lose my support. if i left everything on the board mt opponent would have to make decisions on what to shot at. also do you think 4 troop units is enough in a 2000pt game now a days? everyones bring troops like crazy!
