Pretty awesome, though I think the blue is a bit out of place. I personally think a dark green or yellow would look better.
Edit: Specifically, I was talking about (what I assume are) the command stripes on the one figure. I'm not familiar with the Tau units but I assume he's a sergeant of some kind?

Thanks much bud. As for the blue, common sense would dictate that yellow or green would be a more logical color. But those stripes (Sept stripes) are representative of any world a Cadre comes from, and tend to go against common sense entirely for that very reason, it seems. If you look through the Tau codex, you'll see a lot of Cadre schemes which are decently camouflaged, except for sudden splashes of bright red or yellow.
Basically, it's not meant to be a smart color, it's meant to be a color that 'pops,' which is helpful for a model which is already working to blend in with its base. And by the by, every model has stripes, not just one. See if you can spot them all (or at least those not hidden by shoddy camera work ).
The one color choice I actually am concerned about is the trim of the Drone. The off-white/yellow of its rim is the same used for straps on the Firewarriors. I used it instead of off-black since the whole underside is that color, but it still seems to inadvertently clash with the Warriors....might look better next to some vehicles, though.

I love your colour scheme, don't change a thing.
Your highlighting on cloth and bags/pouches makes me jealous.
The marine helmet behind the crouching figure is very well painted. Wonderful attention to detail.
I'm eager to see how you use that khaki/tan colour in the rest of your force. Post us some when you can.

I think they look great and the overall idea is solid. Tau needs a little grimdark to look menacig in my eyes, and you have got a good theme going.

I have orks and old school dark eldar. Also my roommate collects space marines, but refuses to admit he plays warhammer, so I claim they are my own in public. |

Is that the bonding knife, or just a scavenged trophy? Great work by the way, I really appreciate the amount of work put in.

Just a trophy/scavenged knife. When I get to making a Shas'ui, I intend to mark a panel or two of the armor turquoise to make it more obvious. Not sure I'll even bond my teams, but it can't hurt to put knifes on 'em just in case.
As for the stealth/pathfinder bit, I'm still at a toss up. My first attempt will be to invert the colors, so deep gray armor with brown cloth, possibly with thin, jagged lines of the bone-yellow color on the armor to make it look like camo. I'll have to see how that looks before I decide if and what to try next. An alternative will be to fall back on classic camo and use some dark green in the mix somewhere.
Thanks a ton for the kind words all. I hope I can get you all some more eye candy soon.

For your viewing pleasure, the first Pathfinder, and a Shas'ui at that:
I'm worried that the abundance of lights at the end of the carbine make him a bit too 'colorful' for a stealth unit, but from most angles there's only one real bright spot, being the sept colors on his shoulder. As you can see, I went with the plan of inverting the Firewarrior's color scheme. I'm not entirely sure whether or not it was a success.
Thoughts?
Edit: Updating with a better picture. I've come to realize it looks a lot more proper when not staring down the bright glowy gun barrels. Still seems I have a bit of refining to do on my photography skills though. :(
