Wolf guard, 10 x, 2x terminatour armour, 2x cyclones, 1x chainfist, 1x wolf claw

Wolf guard, 10 x, 2x terminatour armour, 2x cyclones, 1x chainfist, 1x wolf claw

HEAVEY SUPPORT

long fangs, 6x, 5x rocket launchers

long fangs, 6x, 5x multi meltas, + drop pod

logan goes in drop pod with multi meltas

VERY GOOD list

use at your own discretion

can beat pretty much anything, with 17 rocket launcher shots!!! AND 5 relentless multi melta shots!!

try and come up with something better!

I don't understand this list... I get that you have an above average amount of firepower in a 1500 pt list, but I don't see anything beyond that.

Don't get me wrong the list could work but I think that you would be better off just GH spamming and saving yourself the 3 pts per model and getting free special weapons. You can easily get 6 drop podded melta shots and 15 missiles in a turn from cheaper options. This would also allow you to get a RP and maybe even 2 to offer support for your GHs or even your LF (rerolls to hit).

I think you just need to reverse roles for your guys, use your Long Fangs for their intended purpose and use your troops to get up in the other army's face, there will be more GHs than LFs so you might even survive to turn 3 with your cheaper unit.

Here would be how I reroll this list with GHs instead of WG this should add a lot of bodies without sacrificing much firepower (in fact I think it has more) you lose 2 missile shots a turn (not really a big deal as you will be rerolling hits on one unit) and you will lose 1 melta shot a turn. You will gain 21 bodies and a huge boost in mobility along with 8 plas shots a turn.

HQ
RP (LL, JotWW) opt for divination in most cases

Troops
10x GH - 2xMelta, MotW, Wolf Standard, Drop Pod
10x GH - 2xMelta, MotW, Wolf Standard, Drop Pod
10x GH - 2xPlas, MotW, Wolf Standard, Drop Pod
10x GH - 2xPlas, MotW, Wolf Standard, Drop Pod
5x GH - 1xFlamer, Drop Pod (gives you that odd number of pods and gives you a small scoring unit to hold rear or odd objectives)

Heavy
6x LF - 5xML
6x LF - 5xML
6x LF - 5xML

1500 pts

I would even say that you will see after a few games that 15 long fangs is A LOT at 1500 points and you may find that you dont have many good targets on turn 4+, you may want to swap one out for an ADL with a Quad Gun for flyers, this would leave you with 40 points to throw more upgrades on your 4 primary GH squads (power axe on 2 squads or adding a plas pistol to your 2 plas squads). You effectively have 5 scoring units compared to 3 with 2x the firepower and you have a decent assault presence with a very high pseudo mobility (your guys go where you want them). I know it's a fairly boring list, but it will be 10x more effective at winning you games.

5 multi meltas with relentless.. i v used this list and it rocks

two terminators in each squad, with each wolf guard packing 4 attacks with counter charge, not to mention this units can advance or back track if need be and shoot.

and if they get charged they get 32 attacks plus 3 wolf claw , and 3 powerfists attacks, per squad

i have grey hunter list and this is far superior as it can move and shoot people, as people can simply go around the longfangs, and the grey hunters can get shot.

this list can move and shoot, charge is durable, and logan plus 5 mulite meltas kill the biggest enemy turn 1! it works i' ve tried it.

I dont see how grey hunter spam is good, i mean sure there are alot of them but seems more like canon fodder then anything else

To be honest it looks like a pretty bog standard logan wing list. I don't see how this is anything to post or get excited about. In fact it's got glaring weaknesses of being weak to AP2.

It also makes the assumption that the drop-pod can even get in a place to kill any tanks, without any cover saves. Denial of those things is surprisingly easy.

It has no manoeuvrability either. Foot slogging what are essentially bolters will die pretty quickly.

Also no way of even touching fliers.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

I am not trying to argue with you, I am simply saying that there are much more effective ways of playing Space Wolves. GHs are arguably the best troops choice in the game (any codex). They are durable, cheap, and absolutely deadly if kitted out correctly. In order to humor you I will do some mathhammer for a typical assault phase of your WG vs how I would kit a 10 man GH squad at this point level. I am going to assume that both teams get the extra attack due to not knowing any in game circumstances (who charged who) I will also skip over-watch fire as it is situational.

Spoiler:
10 WG - 2x Terminator Armor. 2x CML, 1x Wolf Claw, 1x Chainfist (290 pts)

10 GH - 2x Plasma (most expensive), MotW, PA, Wolf Standard (200 pts)

I4
WG have 32 regular attacks and 3 AP3 attacks (rerolling either hits or wounds doesn't matter so Ill choose hits)
2.67 regular wounds before re rolling 1s (1/2 of the wounds) equaling out to roughly 1.5 wounds + 1.12 AP3 wounds = 2.62 wounds caused
2.62 total wounds caused

GH have 21 regular attacks and 6 MotW attacks (re rolling 1s so 4 is the average result) The whole phase re rolls 1s.
12.25 hits after re rolling 1s. 7.145 wounds after re rolling 1s. 2.381 wounds caused by regular weapons.
3.5 MotW hits. 2.041 MotW wounds armor saves and rending this comes out to about .9 wounds on average.
2.381 + .9 = 3.281
3.281 total wounds caused
I1
WG have 3 chainfist attacks (st8 AP2)
1.25 wounds caused

GH have 3 PA attacks (st5 AP2) re rolling 1s
1.75 hits = 1.3125 wounds
1.3125 wounds

Totals
WG caused 3.87 wounds
GH caused 4.5935 wounds

As we can see above the GHs prevailed in CC, are cheaper, and are a much more flexible unit.

To be honest I think you should try out GHs they are absolutely amazing for their cost in both CC and in shooting. GHs coupled with LFs are the reason that the Space Wolves have a competitive codex. Use them it's for your own good.

used this list today, rocked with ease

i don't know about your math hammer, given that it didn't take in to account terminator amour against ap 3 powers swords, which most people use.

it kicks ass against that.

oh you have a lightning claw, and challenge my wolf guard with a power fist, no save for you 2+ for me.

also second round of combat no rerolss, on grey hunters.

2 attacks for greyhunter

3 attacks for wolfguard, 3pts more
...

also 5 multi meltas with relentless walking forward rocks, hmm wats the biggest baddest thing on the field, dead.

....
