So I was looking up a formation for reference and I noticed that the 20 or so datasheets that used to be free on GW's site are now gone. In fact, there are no longer any articles for Apoc on the site. 
When did this happen?
And the more important question, this seems to me to indicate that they have something planned for Apoc. Maybe a new book or a 2nd Version with more datasheets and updated 6th Edition stuff?
Any thoughts on this?

Ah, good. i thought i was going blind. Luckily i have them all downloaded but it does make me wonder what they are planning - or if someone in the office just hit "delete" by accident.
All the superheavies and stuff were updated by Forgeworld a while back.
Hopwefully this means that GW are updating the formations and stuff for 6th Ed. Here's hoping!

It's not just that, all the painting/modeling/etc articles are gone as well.

That happened a while ago, last December IIRC. My point is that these datasheets were removed within the last month. Personally the last time I checked (thankfully I downloaded them too) was mid September. The general consensus (from what I've read) was that GW removed the painting/modeling articles to "encourage" people to buy white dwarf and more of the codexs, as opposed to just getting ideas for free from the website. So I'm wondering about the reasoning behind why they would suddenly remove the Apoc stuff (besides just spite and getting rid of everything that's free)

Well yeah. That too. It's obviously the additional cost of having a dedicated team scouring the interwebs day and night and constantly updating the digital FAQs and books to resolve any and all game and rules issues as expressed by their much valued customer base.

Be advised, though, that it's just a guess by myself, I'm not sure about it.
I could just very well imagine APOC charts being released for ~1-2€ for your favorite overpriced manufacturer. Same thing happened in WHFB: the new monsters are released as a digital version for ~1€.

They hid the Articles page some time ago, which sucks because I used that pathway to find the FAQ's. Now I just google search for it.
The Apocalypse Datasheets are still on the GW site. You can find them here.

Sorry, but I think they removed the page completely. When you click the link it redirects you to the main page. If you google the datasheets, I think they still pop up. 'eres hoping that they make the datasheets at least able for those heretics with no Apple device, or at least for iPhone.

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.

–They're publishing them in a book
–They're updating the rules
–They're no longer supporting the rules
