So here's the list idea. I move my Grey Knight Strike Squads up with the IG. Its a foot horde. The Lord Commisar is there for LD10 on the blob. If only Coteaz could attach to the blob. Anyways the Power Axes deter Marines or pretty much any other MEQ squad from charging my IG blob. The Vendetta is on Flyer duty as is the Stormraven with Psybolt Ammo. The Stormraven is also good at anti-psyker and infantry. The Razorbacks are meant to be used as walls. They are not to be used as transports for the army. I'll be blocking my army off and forcing my opponents to waste their shots on either the transports, or the IG blob. The acolytes are really easy to hide behind cover since at my LGS they use lots of LOS blocking terrain. They make great objective campers for me.
Any thoughts?

You have a lot of points dumped into the IG without much threat there. They will most likely be ignored, at least thats what I would do if I saw that. Go for your high priority targets, or send something in such as termies to bunch up the squad.
I would consider putting some threat into the guard, maybe drop a squad and add melta or plasma guns and/or autocannons. This will give them some bite to go with the rest of the list and let them compliment your list a little bit more. It also gives you the option to have them sit back and shoot or rush and make real threats.
I also am not a huge fan of the commissar, I think you would be better off with a CCS with banner and 3 special weapons.

Really really really like the list. Very well thought out, one I would probably make no changes to. Love your gameplan too.
If you could free up the points, a cheap Inquisitor with Divination would be nice, but I can't imagine what you would take away from the list to include him. He's probably less optimal than anything else in the list.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee. |

Its hard to ignore all of the Ig models when they fire 50 shots at one target at the worst.
If terminators go in then you die to weight of dice. That's also what the power axes are for.
The melts is a good idea but auto cannons don't mesh at all. I want them to move up and midfield.
How is the CCs better?

I might drop the IG power axes in the blob for assault weps (think plasma guns are 10pts?), as would give them nastier bite, as imho guardsmen tend to crumble at the first mention of CC. apart from that maybe lacking some anti-tank but the vendetta should do fine. I like the psybolt razorbacks, use 4 quite often myself and they do a lot of dmg when they concentrate fire. Quite a nice list.

3000pts 30 wins 2 draws 12 loses
5000pts 13 wins 1 draws 9 losses
WoC "where the points don't matter" 6 wins 0 draws 4 losses

They shouldn't crumble that easily when its 50 Imperial Guard in one large squad.

Yes, but you are still only engaging one target. If it is MSU or an all mech army, those 50 shots will not be able to do much. Consider running 20 man squads? Yes, against terminators you are right, eventually you will get them purely on the amount of time you have to roll.
If you are aiming for midfield melta is a good idea. I still suggestion some heavy weapon, autocannons are only 10 points and the reason for putting them in amelta squad is so they can still be a threat to your opponent even when not in range of usuing the melta guns. It forces your opponent to choose to come in close and deal with melta or be pestered by the AC's the entire game. It raises their rank on the priorities of your opponent, which is a good thing as guardsmen are expendable.
A CCS is better for a handful of reasons. Orders for one, they can make quite an impact, especially with a 50 man squad. Those 50 lasgun shots that you mentioned, only about 25 will hit, and against terminators only about 1/3 will wound, lets be generous and say 9 wounds. Of those wounds, against terminators, you are only looking at about 1 or 2 dead. FRFSRF allows you to add 1 shot for each guardsmen, that 50 just became 100. That can huge. You can also twinlink against MC's and vehicles, which can also help. As well as the other solid order which is fire on my target. Another reason is the ability to take a standard which allows re-rolls to morale checks without losing a sgt. It can also take heavy weapons and special weapons in numbers. The only real downside is the loss of a power axe and the fact that the LC is an IC and the CCS is another squad.

Blobbing the squad together is an option I make at deployment. Having 2 blobs of 30 and 20 are a viable tactic against certain lists, but most of the time in my meta having a full blob of 50 guys is worth it. Like you mentioned the order that allows me to fire an extra shot can still be done with the Platoon Command Squad. A Company Command squad seems redundant when I shouldn't be pointing my guns at MC's anyways. The Regimental Standard is nice, but does it outweigh the fact that the Commisar can be an IC and join the blob or any of the infantry squads? Not really IMO.
The only problem with the meltagun upgrade is that it actually doesn't promote mid-field play. It promotes close range play because it requires 12 inches in order to fire. The Autocannon promotes sit back and shoot play. If I'm mid fielding with all of my GK and IG they pretty much can hit anything on the board with all of their guns. The autocannon seems unnecessary when I have a bunch of GK guys who are running around with S7 rending guns along with S5 bolters. Not to mention the S6 Heavy Bolters from the Razorbacks.
