I expect the usual, mostly marines, then some nids/orks. I heard about one guy who managed to cram a land raider in. pretty nasty.

Alright then, probably flamers in the tactical squads and will you take a thunderfire?

I don't know if this was addressed, but you can only manifest Witchfire Powers during your own shooting phase.

It's under Witchfire powers, page 62 I believe.

(Also, one vindicator is enough at 600 points.)

Yeah, I would take a vindicator

Nah, get vindicator...if your going for horde, vindicator will be good as you will be laying down large templates and scattering wont matter too much...if your going for marines str 10 ap 2 shots are gonna help you in ways unimaginable...what game modes will you play? Do you know?

I was planning and playing both vindi and a tfc, and we are playing all but the ones where fast attach and HS are scoring.

So hqs, troops and elites can? Is it objectives or what?

all but one are objectives, one is annihalation, one is the relic, one is with one objective in each players objective, and the other is with D3+2 objectives

Annihalation:Just hide and go to ground with your scouts and librarian they are easy kill points. You show three kill points in the vindicators and hope they instant kill the warlord and get three kill points.

Relic:the scouts deploy on the relic walk, pass off to the next scouts which run back, these gives a good few inches movement of the relic. The vindicators move to block los to the scouts. With no upgrades all of this is really tight as camo cloaks and siege shields would perfect this manoeuvre.

two objectives, hold your own by hiding scouts behind vindicators, try for warlord and first blood for the win.

d3+2:You are going to struggle. Though 3 vindicators supply the hurt.

Now none of these is a perfect plan but you will struggle with a well rounded plan with any marine army you bring at low points.

Have to agree with every point of this guy, although got to admit marines are probably, correct me if I'm wrong, a decent army to have with low points cost battles...low numbers of marines but really good stuff for what you have.

so would this be for a triple vindicator list? I am confused. Are you saying get another vindicator over TTF, or another two with two scouts and a libby. I thought the thunderfire was quite good because it gives the scouts 2+ save in cover thanks to bolster defences.

Hahaha! We're they assault terminators or standard ones? I'd be a bit worried if they were assault tbh.

yeah. would have been nasty, but since at this points level its unlikely I'll see terminators, they should be fine.
Anyway I saw an eldar list that I think did pretty well last time, I think its called a seer council something like farseer jetbike, 4 warlock jetbikes, 2x3guardian jetbikes w/ warlock. Only question is, wouldnt that be quite easy to table?
