Ok, with the much more reasonable cost of chaos bikers in the new codex and the general improvement to bikes as a whole in 6th ed (hullo 'hammer of wraith') I'm going to add a bike unit to my CSM mix. Now, I have three CSM armies and almost never mix them. I simply prefer mono-god armies for fluff reasons. I have just enough bike and rider models for one unit and no plans to get any more in the near futue. I have Khorne, Nurgle, and Slannesh flavored armies. Which one should get the new unit? TRhey get about equal play time before anyone asks.

I'm leaning toward the Khorne army getting the new bikes. The extra attack is quite nice and if I spring for the Khorne icon, they are even more likely to get into combat. Plus now that juggernaughts are cavalry models, they make an excellent bodyguard to ride shotgun with a slavering, jugger mounted, axe of blind fury wiedling lord.

But on the other hand, toughness 6 Nurgle bikes are tough as nails.

Even the lowly +1I of a slannesh units has it's apeal.

The initiative boost is pretty good but the FNP from the Icon of Excess (a must for Chuck Traynor) is awesomesauce.

I would get Slaanesh bikes, because the idea of a Slaaneshi motorcycle gang is badazz.

Glad to see someone knows who Traynor was. A complete bastard by all acounts, but an interesting character none the less.

Now that you menion the Slaaneshi banner, tat does make them more apealing. Plus i do have a nice chaos lord on a steed that can ride along with them as well. Now they are just as apealing as the khorne option!

Don't tempt me, dude. I have a pack of Irregular Miniatures "les Girls" collecting dust. They are an odd set of naked women miniatures in a variety of odd looking dancing and gymnastic poses I bought on a lark ten years ago. I think at least one is in enough of a bent over pose that she could be used to strap over the back of the bike. Might be just the accessory for the unit leader!

The best thing about it is that it's a smallish figure and as part of a large bike model it would fall under the "75% GW parts" rule for conversions used in in-store and tourement games!

But i'm still open to other sugestions and opinions!

Slaanesh bikers would be fun, and if you could track the model down, you could even use Doomrider as your champion! However, I like the idea of Khorne bikers. They're going to hit like a goddamn freight train whenever they charge something, and they're fast enough to get into assault in the first place. on top of that, with T5 they're not going down easy.
