Started painting last year but unfortunately life got in the way after painting a whole 6 Orks.
Anyway ive restarted again and looking forward to a quiet winter of painting. Heres the first 2 ive done so far.
Not 100% happy, plenty of room for improvement, welcome any help. Cheers!

Looks good to me. The flesh in particular has a nice natural depth to it.
Mind telling how you did the rust?

The rust is a mixture of ground up chalks and watered down brown and dark flesh paints. I vary it with what I pick up to keep it more random. Any dark red, brown and orange chalks for the rust, and black for the muzzle of the gun.

The gun and the skin are about all that matters on random boyz models since theyre cannon fodder for the most part. And you did a damn good job with both.
I dont even put that much work into my little boyz because theyre not that important. The Nobz, any Elites, fast attacks, HQs, or vehicles are what i focus on because theyre usually large enough or have something that even without paint makes them stand out, so i want them to be cool.
