Hello Dakka,
Some of you may have noticed that I hosted s short poll, to let people choose my next project. The votes can closed, and the 'winner' of that poll was the Fellblade. Yaaaaaay!
So I thought It would be a good idea to start a blog on Dakka, to show my development. I'll be regularly posting additional content on my FB page and blog (links in my sig) so be sure to check those too.
Here's what I started with, and hopefully, where I will be (but with more evil )

A short update this morning
I have started to cut out all the parts I do not need (I.e. the rear/front track plates, the old plasticard work and exhausts).
Sadly, I found out that there were no tracks under the front plates like I hoped. But I managed to solve this, by stealing some from the rear (as shown). The back will be getting some larger fuel mounts, so the removal wont be noticed
The sides are proving a real pain. Removing all those little notches along the bottom and making the sides flat is a right royal pain in tzeentch's ever changing posterior Eventually, plasticard spacer will be added to both sides, so that the new side panels have a flat mounting point.
Hopefully more will come tonight (GMT). Stay tuned

Awesome. You'll be happy to know that there is more to report today!
I've finally cleared up the sides, and I'm in the process of covering up the armour with new panels, in the style of FW's Fellblade.
I've also mocked up the fuel barrels, and found a couple of nice parts to use, primarily an Executioner Plasma Cannon and Maulerfiend spares. More information on today's progress and extra pictures of other parts can be found here: http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/the-fellblade-project-part-two-new.html

*prods vox output device* Aha!
I bring you more news of the Fellblade today. It's been busy lately, so excuse the time-gap.
As of last night, the basic panelling of the side sections is complete. My focus is now on the central hull and engine bay.
I have also thought about sculpting the turret, instead of using a giant bauble. It will also allow me to better build the gun mantlet and targetting optics of the Accelerator Cannon. More details of my latest work can be found here: http://powerarmouredmetal.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/the-fellblade-project-part-three-extra.html
Enjoy! Comments much appreciated

I was thinking of actually going more along the lines of the new kits, rather than slapping a ton of spikes on Had a cool idea for the exhausts using the Hades Autocannons from the Forgefiend

well thats just me
if you're going in the new kit style then you probably want to give it the gothic look somehow... some cool gargoyle heads on the weapons perhaps?

Yeah I might try to make the chaotic parts more 'organic' with the model. Might try and imitative the spikes/horns jutting from plates and the maw like cannon barrels on the forgefiend's Ectoplasma Cannons....so many ideas
