As a new LOTR player I have started up a Minas Tirith army and wanted to know your overall opinion on some of the stuff in the army list, as since I'm new, I cant work out from the rules which is good and which is not, and go on to make my first 600 point list out of it. If a fellow Minas Tirith player would clue me in on stuff, especially my currently favourite Minas Tirith units, the fountain court guard and their avenger bolt thrower. Any tips and advice on how to play these units would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Boromir is a good, solid choice, especially with his whopping six might, but having no fate points is going to hurt him somewhat. I'd say only use him in larger games, where you can meatshield him somewhat and avoid big hitters easier, or alternatively, small games (like, 300 points) where there isn't a whole lot he can die to.
Captain of the White tower is okay (same stats really, but more will and fate and armour), but I'd rather take aragorn over that- pretty similar, but I'd rather have 1 free might a turn than just more might, and Anduril is a bargain if he can survive long enough to use it against a monster of some kind (4+ to wound no matter what might be pricey at 75pts in a normal game, but if you're going up against the balrog, sauron etc., he's gonna be your best bet.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
corpsesarefun: Thank god I missed be nice to shrike day.
greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid.
