What the title says.

My view is with out Keeler three vital things to the survival of the Imperium in the Horus Heresy and in 40k now would not have happened.

1. The warning about Horus and Istivan.

2. Saved Garro with out him there would be no Grey Knights.

3. Became the first saint of the God-Emperor and giving it a founding.

Who else in the Imperium would you say is more important fluff wise back then and now?

Come into my web, said the spider to the fly.

But I have have no morsel to share, nor anything to eat. But wait, what is that stickiness upon your feet.
Ah now I have you, now I can eat. Now I can enjoy you, or store you as meat.
For I am the spider, and you are the fly. How else could it have gone, between one such as you, and one such as I.

Agree with the first two, disagree with the third. With the last, she helped undermined the Imperial Truth and pervert the Emperor's dream of a secular and progressive society based on reason and technological certainty.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

'She sat on the corner, gulping the soup down, uncaring of the heat of it. They had grown more watery as of late she noted, but she wasn't about to beggar food from the Imperials or the "Bearers of the Word." Tau, despite their faults at least didn't have a kill policy for her race.'

The Emperor's dream was one of ignorance. To intentionally keep humanity in the dark on what was really going on.

There was nothing logical at all about the Imperial Truth, anyone who has read Horus Rising and that hilarious speech by that remembrancer whose name escapes me would know that.

I am just saying.

People's ignorance under the Imperial Truth is equal to their ignorance under the Imperial Cult. At least under the former, they would progress and have technology rivaling/surpassing even the Eldar.

She's character from the Horus Heresy books, who happens to have the personality of a cardboard cut-out of Megan Fox. Her faith made her magical, and then stuff.

Since when was it fact Garro founded they Grey Knights?

I'm aware there are some allusions to it (which aren't really that strong. Being on a mission for Malcador is pretty nebulous)but it's never been outright stated and it doesn't make much sense given what we already know of the Grey Knights founding.

For one thing the Grey Knights have their own gene-seed, secondly you have to be a psycher.

But isnt he going around gathering traitor leigon loyalist Astartes and ex-librarians who then go on to found the Grey Knights. I thought that's what he's doing in the audio books yes/no? explain why please.

He's gathering a group of Astartes on a mission from Malcador. He was told to gather "men and women of inquisitive nature, hunters who might seek the witch, the traitor, the mutant, the xenos".

That sounds more like the beginnings of the Inquisition than anything.

We don't know however, which is the point. He may be recruiting founders for the Grey Knights (which is unlikely) or the Inquisition or anything really.

I concede that Garro may in someway take a part in training the newly formed Grey Knights but he himself (and those he gathers) will never be Grey Knights, can never be Grey Knights.

Does anyone know what gene-seed the Grey Knights use?

IIRC, the GK codex says their geneseed comes from the emperor, rather then a Primarch, but that is Wardian fluff.

As for Garo's setup I always thought that they, while never being full Grey Knights, minus maybe a handful, would have some part to play in their conception. IE maybe the ones who trained the first Grey Knights/ developed their training, or some such. just like I presumed that they would have a hand in the other branches of the Inquisition, especially the Deathwatch.

I thought because they were able to resist being tainted by the chaos gods that's why they were chosen to become the Grey Knights and to fight against the warp and know what the taint of chaos early warning signs looks like. Am I wrong?

Nonsense! The characters have personalities! Like Loken! His personality is awesome! He got killed and then it turned out he wasn't dead and then he became a Grey Knight! Or look at Horus! His personality is evil! Because he's a bad guy and he kills people for no reason!

Honestly some of the HH characters have great personality. Tal, Sevatar, Lorgar, why am I only naming ADB characters.....

Anyway, the GK and Inquisition would have formed without Garro. He was the favored member of the Knights Errant but Malcador would have formed it with or without him, finding someone else.

My Armies:

2,700pts
2,000pts
