Not 100% sure if this is where it belongs, but...
Anyone know why the FAQs are in German?
Had a friend doublecheck, it's not just me.

Because GW is switching to GErman.!
Seriously, Faq are delivered by GW for every Localization and since they support more than English they may have even french Faq's !
Usually there is this little choice of Country at the GW-page and "your" Page should contain "your" Faq in "your" tongue.

The issue that he's talking about is that there is at least 1 English Faq in German... as pointed out by Pretre, the Chaos Daemons faq is not in English

Everyone email them at gamefaqs@games-workshop.co.uk to let them know about the mistake. If they get 20 of them in the next hour, maybe they'll fix it before Christmas break...

Can any german speakers/readers tell us what has changed ? Date suggests there's an update anyway.
They amended the WFB one earlier too I think.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Its a 1.1 a Faq and "a" means usually local. But, the only change to the 1.1 FaQ are based on WD-update, pages 5 and 6. Can't find anything to compare them, as Italy is at Juli, France and Spain at Sept. So oktober seems most recent. I don't think this is a international update as the kit already has this in its profile ( WH40k armies ). ( Hint: GW has a few times to often Dienstag, 30. OKtober at their "whats news today" at different countries pages and I would guess there is more amiss with their site ).

I need some help with special demon names / USR as I don't know the GW term, so expect rough translations concerning those. Instead of using the USR "Demon", always use the USR from the Codex: Chaos Demons. Change the second paragraph to: no model in any detachment of the Codex: Chaos Demons" will be placed on the board during deployment. Every units of that detachment start the game in reserves. You have to clarify whether IC join a unit or not. Your enemy and your other detachments are deployed normally. Change the first sentence of the third paragraph to: At the beginning of your first turn, you divide each Codex: Chaos Demons detachment in two groups with the same amount of units (if possible). Change the first sentence to: Due to the power of the oracle's clairvoyance, Fateweaver and all friendly Codex: Chaos Demons units in 6'' may reroll all failed armor, invulnerable and cover saves. Change the second paragraph to: If a friendly Codex: Chaos Demons unit arrives in 6'' around a Chaos Icon, it does not scatter in case the Chaos Icon was on the battlefield at the start of the turn and did not enter play via reserves in this turn. Replace the entire text after the second sentence with: Range - S (Model) AP 3 Type: Melee, Devour Soul Change the Hell Flayer's BS to 4. Add "Run" to the Hell Flayer's USR. Change the annotation to: an exalted curtisan cannot exit the Hellgrinder. If the Hellgrinder is destroyed, also remove the curtisan. Change the Hell Flayer's BS to 4. Change the chariot's BS to 4. Change the exalted chariot's BS to 4. Q&A - If your primary or secondary detachment contains Chaos Demons, you still have to follow the rules for Demonic Assault. - If Chaos Demons in any detachment are allied with another faction that's allied with Chaos Demons (Allies chart), allies do not follow the Demonic Assault rules. - Chaos Demons arriving in 6'' around an allied Chaos Space Marines Chaos Icon still scatter unless the Chaos Icon rules explicitely state which units do not scatter. The last point might be a mistake by GW, I assume they wanted to say that they don't scatter as they specifiy "allied units", but alas, I just translated what they wrote

Apparently the wording of the daemon rule in the codex says to use the stat line on their entry instead of the main rulebook rule for daemons, which would give flames and screamers no save at all. Can someone clarify that? Automatically Appended Next Post: Edit: the FAQ says use the codex, not the brb.

Edit: the FAQ says use the codex, not the brb.
I think that is exactly right, RAW, Screamers and Flamers currently have no save.

They have a save no LAWLZZZZ for you
Q: Do models chosen from Codex: Chaos Daemons and / or the White
Dwarf, August 2012, Codex: Chaos Daemons official update have the
Daemon special rule from the Warhammer 40,000 Rulebook, or do they
have the Daemon army special rule from Codex: Chaos Daemons?
(p27)
A: All models from Codex: Chaos Daemons and/or the White
Dwarf, August 2012, Codex: Daemons official update have the
Daemon army special rule listed in Codex: Chaos Daemons
with the addition of the Fear special rule from the Warhammer
40,000 rulebook and a 5+ invulnerable save.
