Hey all, picked up one of those new csm kits and decided to give it a go with some paint. Hope you like it.

Dang fine work on the base. I think you should wash some of the metal with earthshade or nuln oil.

Looks fantastic. The base and glow really makes this pop.

The lava effect is phenomenal.

I agree, great job so far, but I would also recommend some washes on the metal and gold/bronze areas. I like the way the verdigris came out, but for the rest these areas look too clean IMHO

This is really nice. Good attention to detail. I do agree that since it is chaos, the metals should have a more dirty or tarnished look but if you are not going for that then it looks great and the base, well, WOW!

Painting is superb, sculpt is awful - as everyone else said the base and osl in particular is brilliant, thanks for sharing

If he's going box standard there's little he can do about the sculpt I'm afraid. The best is what we see here: making a silly looking model look good with a nice paint job.
