Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

Whatever you did on the second one do it for all of them. The gold turned out way better then the other two IMO. In the words of Hattori Hanzo welcome welcome.

Thanks guys, the only problem I faced with no.2 was the wash I used wouldn't spread evenly over the model so it looks really dodgy.

That's probably what makes it look better

Overall I think you have done a great job, but it looks like the colour scheme needs some more depth. In particular, the first model could do with some lighter tones/highlights. That would take a bit of the red out of the gold as well. If your wash has pooled unevenly in the second model, that means it has made some areas darker and left some uncovered (i.e. with lighter tones), which is exactly what you need.

Welcome to Dakka, it's great to see another Blood Angel player

hey man, as others are saying, I agree about number 2 being the better of the lot. Not so keen on the first, he's too dark for my tastes though its a personal thing so hey, whatever

The British stick's

looking good! Only few little bits i would suggest is maybe a little highlighting on the green laurels on the first guy. it might just be that the pic is a bit darker than the others, but it seems quite dark, and also something on the loin cloths on the second dude. When i painted mine i was very reluctant to do anything freehand (because i suck at it..) but even a simple red line just off the bottom makes the whole model feel a bit more unique i found. It's defiantly my favorite one now nehoo.
Welcome to dakka, looking forward to seeing some more

The second one looks really great, antiqued almost. Stick with that method

Welcome to Dakka! Agreed about the darkness of the models and the need for some lighter tones. Maybe a lighter tone of gold would work well too. when I did mine I based them white and then dry brushed on the gold and then did a light black wash over them. I found that the lighter wash makes them really pop.

These are quite well done. Maybe something on the base will spruce up the overall look.

I agree that number 2 is the best of the 3 but the figure also has more areas to do in different ways that the main figure so that helps, (i.e. the wings).
Great job and welcome!
