This is what I have done on my Ogres so far. I was going with Ogres only have access to black iron and that they don't keep it up well. They also use bronze and brass. More powerful ogres will have gold and silver. What do you think?

Looking good so far. The shading on the skin is a little stark for me, but I think that style of painting looks better on the table than it does in pictures.

I use Talarrn Flesh and Flesh wash for the skin. Once everything is painted and I experiment with some mixing I may go back and add some shading to the skin.

I have to say, the Firebelly is by far one of my favorite sculpts.

MIne too. It was my first experience with finecast also and I didn't have any problems. I enjoyed working with it. This figure was a lot of fun to paint.

Here are my latest Irongut champion and enslaved Sky Titan. The Sky Titan is the Reaper Bones Storm Giant. I've started using a new skin formula that I like better and I think looks more realistic.

I'm working on my Tyrant now and this is what I have so far. Also two Baneblades I'm doing for a commission. The camo one is my first airbrush attempt. I think it turned out ok but I learned alot about overspray on my first run. I also learned a lesson in tedium painting those rivets, only about another 1k to go! What do you think?

Finished up 3 Raging Heroes Blood Vestals that I'm using as DE Wyches. I think my skin tones are coming along. I also tried wet blending for the first and second time on the Ogre Tyrants gut horns and the Blood Vestals green swords. I'm not happy with the Tyrants gut horns so those will be redone. The green swords came out better and I think I can live with them for now so I'll keep practicing. I used two of the Holiday technical paints GW put out. The vertigris effect on the Tyrants armor is one and the other is the Aggrellan Earth for the lava bases. I'm really happy with both so far. I'm going to use Blood for the Blood God on the Tyrant when he's finished.

I'm taking a break from my Ogres to work on my Dark Eldar so I can play in the local 40k events that have started happening on a regular basis. I traded away all of my 3rd ed DE and realized I don't have an army to play 40k with. Not counting my Space Marines but I don't have their current codex and also don't feel like playing them. I'm going to try my hand at airbrushing a raider so I'll post pics of that when I make more progress. Right now the raider is in parts and primed. Hope you like the pics.

Finished my first Terrorghiest for an upcoming Monster Mash tournament. I used some Scribor Elven Ruin and Elven Temple Ruin pieces on the base.

Second Terroghiest done. Looking forward to unleashing these guys at the Monster Mash tournament.

I'm working on Nagash. He is sub assembled and I'm now using liquid green stuff to cover up the joints in the robe and the spirits. I thought about not doing it so I could get painting but it was going to bug me too much. If anyone has any sand paper that they can recommend for smoothing the green stuff once it dries I'm all ears. If I don't hear anything on here I'll probably check out my Home Depo options and maybe Michaels. I'll post pics once Nagash is done.

I wanted the robe Nagash wears to look like one piece of cloth. The same with the spirits orbiting him. I used liquid green stuff. I ended up putting two coats on and then sanded with 1500grit and then 1800 grit. You can probably get away with just the 1500grit. I found that I had missed 3 connecting joints on the spirits so I'll have to wait until those cure and I sand them before I can prime. I think it turned out well.

WIP pics of some Iron Warriors I'm doing as part of a trade. They are to be table top standard.

First time masking and spraying with my airbrush. First thing I learned is that you should put down some mat varnish before you put any tape or liquid mask on anything. The model is an old FW dread before this model was released in plastic and I didn't wash the resin so there was some issues with early coats of paint sticking. I'm happy with the result as far as table top goes. I am also happy with how the liquid mask worked. I used Vellejo Liquid mask and blue masking tape from Home Depo.

I put some time in on my Dark Eldar Coven models this week. I'm getting the Scalpel Squadron formation from the Haemoculus book done first and will work out from there. I've decided that since the DE are more a coalition of smaller gangs and warlords I'll probably paint individual units differently and they'll be tied together with the lava bases. I'm pretty much done with the Venoms for Scalpel Squad. Now I need to crank out 10 wracks and I will have a fully painted formation!

I had the Coven fluff and the Reavers from Firefly in mind when I painted these two. For the guns I was thinking that the wraith bone they have taken from the Eldar has been corrupted by the Coven.

Got some time and spent it working on trying some new techniques. Used Zenithal highlight priming, used a pallet instead of out of pot, used retarder and more thinner than usual. This is my best face so far I'd say.
