Saw this at my local Barnes and noble store while walking through the magazine racks. I remember an article I read somewhere about this guy and how he was going to Comic-Con to hopefully win some costume contests. I have to say his stuff looks incredible especially considering they are actually 8 feet tall

Very well executed except for the helmets which look too small and out of scale.

My thoughts exactly.
Also, they're 1ft too tall. SM's are 7ft.

Weirdly, the bottom of his feet seem to be at the 1ft mark. The first actual mark is 2ft.

GW Rules Interpretation Syndrom. GWRIS. Causes people to second guess a rule in a book because that's what they would have had to do in a GW system.

I thought the armor added a foot of height to the actual space marines (bottom of boots, top of helmet/backpack). So space marine 7 ft out of armor, the armor suit is 8 ft.

Nicely done, but I thought this was the guy who did the suits for the Space Marine xBox game? The suits look similar so it may be that he has a license to build them. If not I want to know how much they cost because christmas is coming!!!! I myself stand 6 foot 8 inches so not much more of a boost is needed to get me to 7 feet tall. Still has to be heavy and hot as a bugger inside of there.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you. |

Check out Obscurus Crusade. It is a 40k cosplay site. The members do everything from various Imperials( IG, Marines, etc.) to xenos and Chaos.
Nice find, btw, I may have to check it out.

Shawn actually does contract work for a lot of different studios for their promo booths at conventions and what not. Most of it is official.
There was a guy from England IIRC who had done similar work (Black Templars were his Chapter though) who attempted to sell to the general public and I believe he received a C&D though. Memory is a bit hazy though as to the specifics and whether or not he decided to roll over.

It's definitely true. But I don't think it's this guy? It was some dude on instructables.com.
Edit: after checking out the link. Definitely not the same person.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Poor Brother Basicus. He's in the desert, yet there's a perfectly formed ring of rocks and grass right underneath him. He's in a hive, and there's a perfectly formed ring of rocks and grass right underneath him. Now he finds out that he's actually a foot shorter than he's been telling everyone; every time he gets measured there's this perfectly formed ring of rocks and grass right underneath him.

This is what kinda annoys me about GW, I can understand that space marines are there property and all that, but you dont see them specificaly sell 1:1 scale coslay outfits of space marines, so if they dont or cant why should we all suffer when there could be a chance for us to get an outfit when there are some like me who do not have the time to consturct one myself.
