Unfortunately they also drive and operate potentially dangerous equipment.

If only it was possible to make the substance legal, but keeping driving while impaired illegal...

But that would take some kind of legislative genius!

I was just making the point that the police do in fact have issues with high people.

Legalize weed... tax/regulate it like a vice (ala, ciggies and alcohols).

States would make soooo much money, that the local government would loath to kill that revenue stream...

Case in point: See California... it aint going anywhere...

That would be too hard, how would you regulate it? Weed is super easy to grow and how would you tell the official stuff from the home grown stuff.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I haven't read the thread, but reading the OP, I had a thought:

How funny would it be to decriminalize the USE of drugs, but NOT possession?

It isn't the first few times, it took me a good few times to get the right consistanly for the mead to settle correctly. The issue is that the big Tobacco companies would be the ones selling the weed, they would use the same chemicals in the weed as they use in Tobacco. A lot of people who grew weed before it's legalisation would not shut down their farm, I mean it's easy to grow and it's way cheaper than dealing with taxes and other methods, even if they introduce a tax it would be low and contribute not much to the community because even if it is too much people would just grow it themselves.
