Afternoon guys,

Just introduced myself in the relevant section, so thought I'd post my FIRST finished model...All feedback and advice greatly appreciated. I've named the chapter Anam Corcra (Purple Soul), represented by the purple shoulder pad and gold lining. Got a few tips off my local GW, who were really helpful...See what you think...

Looks quite good to me. Only thing I'd suggest for now is to spruce up the base. Other than that, keep practicing with that brush!

Really, really nice looking job there!

The only suggestion I would make is to work on the eyes. The way you have the white in there kind of makes it look like he's cross eyed.

I will admit that eyes plague me to no end, so I don't have any suggestions to improve them unfortunately.

Cheers, and good point- I hadn't really seen it that way until you mentioned it...now to repaint the eyes

The best way to do eyes is a really tiny (I mean pinprick sized) dot of white on the same side of both lenses, and this will look more like a glint of light, which I assume is what you were going for!

Looks really good mate, especially for a first go. Well done!

Thanks for the comment. Yeah the light effect is what I was going for, and I get what you mean either side. Will give them a go, and post a pic of the squad when complete.

Appreciated

Your skill with your first five makes me a very sad panda considering I have painted 2 armies up to 2000pts and i still suck giant heretical pomegranates.
