Just wanted to get an opinion of the general Dakkadakka community. Which skaven model works best for between the stormvermin and the plague monk for a ratling sniper conversion?

Why is IG Ratling in the poll? That wouldn't be a conversion...

I'd say Stormvermin would work better. It's an easier kit to convert.

I put other, because Ratlings aren't actually rats.

You could probably just get some catachan snipers or something.

You could use green stuff to make guilles for the ratlings, would look pretty good I think. Also you can find some other bits to use for there sniper rifles that I am sure would look good.

Fair enough. They'd look like shaggy ewoks in guillies, that'd be kinda cute.

Plague Monk, presuming your IG army are 'normal' humans and therefore abhumans like Ratlings are only grudgingly tolerated - the Monks seem a better visual fit for this role, as their robes work both to hide their horrible abhumanness from the rest of the army, and of course as camo uniforms.

And what would your thought's be if I was building a Skitarii based army?

Skitarii have more advanced or experimental weaponry and equipment than 'normal' imperial forces, but I haven't seen anything to indicate they'd be any more (or less) tolerant of abhumans, so I don't think it affects your choice of base figure for the conversions.
