Hi guys,

The two of them look very similar, but I'm a bit confused... I tried googling a bit, read up on appropriate lexicanum pages and searching the forum to no avail. So now I come to you, Dakka.

The GW Crimson Fists Tactical Squad Upgrade has a picture of a Imperial Fist, which makes me think it's the same.

But then you scroll down the page to find an Imperial Fists Conversion Pack:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440277a&prodId=prod1110187
Which has a slightly different insignia (not as embossed, no circle). I'm guessing this is just an older/deprecated product, but can someone please clarify this before I start sticking the wrong insignias on?

Bonus question #1:
Why would anyone get the GW Crimson Fists Tactical Squad Upgrade mentioned above instead of this one? Looks like a free powerfist to me
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440277a&prodId=prod1600076a

Bonus question #2:
Assuming that the logos are the same as asked above, is there any limitation on what I can't use Crimson Fist stuff for on Imperial Fists? i.e Can a IF Command Squad have:
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440277a&prodId=prod1600072a

Thanks for your help!

Same logo. I'd think all of the CF stuff would look pretty cool as IF and vice versa.

Its pretty much the same, except the Crimson Fists paint it red instead of black or yellow.

Given that the crimson fists ARE an offshoot of the Imperial fists, it makes it - logistically - easier to use the same set of iconography for both.

Imperial fists you mean? But yeah, crimson fists and black templars are two of the second founding offspring of the imperial fists
