Entering a Tournament with my new GK army (1500). Im happy with the list for the most part.

-1 Lord Kaldor Draigo (HQ) @ 275 Pts
-10 Paladin Squad (Troops) @ 650 Pts (4 Psycannons, mix of halberds, sword and hammers)
-5 Paladin Squad (Troops) @ 340 Pts (2 Psycannons, mix of swords, halberds, hammer, falchions x1)
-1 Nemesis Dreadknight (Heavy Support) @ 235 Pts (Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter)

The advice i was looking for is what is better to take:
1) Psybolt Ammo on all the paladins (S5 Storm Bolters)
or
2) A Heavy Psycannon on the DK (S7 large rending)
I see advantages to both. Psybolt ammo will help my paladins get aot more wounds and be able to down light transports and skimmers.
Buy the Heavy Psycannon can cause serious damage to hordes and low armour troops like necrons and tau.

Finding it hard to decide, any opinions welcome.

I would go psybolt on the big paladin squad. Might also want to get a brotherhood banner on that squad, maybe an apoc for FNP.

Dreadknights do best with the incin and can still do a lot of damage with the flame template. It also auto hits and will not scatter. S6 AP3 will tear most units apart no problem.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I concur with DR serling: Psybolt ammo and Brotherhood banner for the 10 man paladin squad. Drop the Falchions from 5 man squad to get the points for it.

I agree with this, however the heavy incinerator is ap4 not ap3

Thanks for the advice guys. I often combat squad the large pala squad so a banner might not be best. Thinking of adding a warding stave to the 5 man squad as this is the squad that Draigo usually deep strikes with, for extra protection in CC. I figure a squad with Draigo and a warding stave is much much tougher than one with a banner? Then give psybolt ammo to the 10man squad. Dont think a banner will be as useful if i combat squad, usually put all the psycannons in 1 combat team and the hammers in the other for separate duties.
What do you think?

If you're going to combat squad often, then go for the Warding Stave, as banner isn't that good in 5 man squads.

In any objective game (of which the majority are these days) i combat squad the big paladin squad so i can separate out the special weapons and dont get them locked in combat. For games like Relic or kill points i find it best to have a massive death star.
If their not shooting their not doing their points worth, and i reckon its a good way to split the opponents fire.
If you combat squad do both halves still get the Psybolt ammo?

i think you should take more psycannons, because with the new rules you may get chopped up by terminators with power fists, and those are your only rending/ap2 weapons, excluding the DK. Against heavy weapons, the DK also gets its kicked. Any devestators, dark reapers normally kill it. Beware of leaving your guys in the open, because my brother (who has almost the same list, (+landraider, 5 interceptors, 20 paladins) always thinks his paladins are invincable, but eventually 70 points a model takes its toll

So you reckon go for the Heavy Psycannon? Its kind of putting all my eggs in one rhino. If the Dread knight goes, and he is usually a target priority, then i loose a lot more points that could have been spread out with psy ammo and a warding stave.
