In our game this weekend a PsiRifleman Dread decided to cower rather than face the firepower of the mighty Tau Empire.

When this happened we spent several minutes trying to confirm if walkers have the ability to dive for cover. What say you, learned scholars?

I'm don't think they can. I'd think they'd just follow normal vehicle cover rules instead.

I doubt something like a dreadnought would be able to get back up, but the image of it yelling "GET DOWWNN!" and tumbling like an old washing machine to avoid small arms fire is amusing.

I may have had trouble finding the rule as I was laughing too much.

MCs can't GTG cuz they're all fearless (Pg. 35), walkers can't do it because they're vehicles (Pg. 75).

Where does it say MC's are all fearless now? I'm looking at Pg. 48 and there's no mention of blanket Fearless for MC's there.

I think it's less "all MCs are fearless" and more "there currently aren't any MCs in the game that aren't fearless", although I don't have all the codices and so cannot check on that last one.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Indeed, that would be the correct way to phrase it, and more so the point I was making. If GW had wanted all MC's to be fearless they would have made it so in the BRB, not per codex. While they may all be fearless now, I think they want to have the option for whatever reason.

You're wrong on this one. MC's don't have Fearless USR, read page 48 again.
Dreadknight only has only ATSKNF, not Fearless. IIRC there are non-Fearless Tyranid MC's as well (this includes synapse).

He is only right about walkers, not MC's so thanking him is bit premature.

The only Tyranid MCs that do not have the Fearless special rule are Synapse and thus have Fearless through that.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

No, it's polite. If I asked you what time the train was, and you said "11:15, it's going to be a red one", but it actually turned out to be blue, would I tell you to piss off because you got the colour wrong? No, I'd thank you for telling me it was at 11:15, because that was the only question I asked, and it was answered, the other answer meant nothing to me anyway because I didn't want to know what colour it was.
