My wife and I enjoy playing the Lego games together so I picked it up, but we have both been to busy to actually have time to sit down and play it. I'll try and post some comments on it at some point.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
My wife's been playing it non-stop since it arrived last night, through migraines and sickness- it is really awesome. The inventory system, quests, and combat gardening make it the most complex Lego game yet, which is a wonderful thing.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleyways and mugs them for loose grammar.
Theres a free demo on 3ds. I played the demo a couple times. Its like every other LEGO version of a movie. Very fun, pretty funny, same ol set up though

Graphics are literally all that matter about games, and damn any choices otherwise for the sake of art style or a unique look.
The centre of a massive brood chamber, heaving and pulsating.
Awesome!
I do hope they do it in the style of the older LEGO games and keep as much of the landscape made out of LEGO as possible. These new realistic environments just don't do it for me.

Yes, while I make a comment on the state of lego games in general, and in doing so express my feelings toward it, you simply say that you don't like my opinion. Grow up.
“Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living.”
It looks like great fun, and totally ridiculous: Gimli acting like his axe is a shotgun, a slain Uruk Hai kicking Aragorn in the nads, an Ent surfing through Isengaard (I saw it too)...tons of insane stuff. That said, I've bought all the Star Wars LEGO games, and Batman, I'll probably get this at some point too. I even bought LEGO Harry Potter (for a friend only though-I won't touch HP myself).
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I'm surprised how far-reaching the audience of Lego Games is. When I was a kid, they were just starting to roll out of the studios, and the results were so-so. The Lego Star Wars games left a bad taste in my mouth, since I played the actual games they were meant to emulate.
This will be more of the same, probably. I have all three of the original LOTR games for the PS2, and I still play them every now and then. I also had a couple of them for the GBA, which had a good vibe to them.

Someone can't handle factual humour...
Lego games have a childish factor and appeal to the completionist on all of us. I just hope they have the whole buy these effects and characters for ingame coins system. That and the hidden mini kits to build things.
Great series but they will soon find new material other than well trodden ground.
