Just want to know which are the cheapest armys to collect.

Last time I heard, Grey Knights were the cheapest to collect, SOB were the most expensive. Most IG and Nid builds are expensive due to the sheer amount of models that you need to buy.
I think a more appropriate question to ask would be:
Which armies are least expensive?
There really is no "cheap".

Yeah, stay away from guard, nids or orks. Otherwise most of the other armies will be about the same I think.

A low model count army like Draigowing, Loganwing, Dantewing, Deathwing will probably be the cheapest.

As above, there is no cheap in this hobby

Ive been looking at Eldar/Dark Eldar but apparently there hard to play?

And not sure what the end price would be. would only be looking for a 1000pt army

Yep, they do have a steep learning curve and you will start of by losing more than you win. Dark eldar are probably better as have a newer codex, but kind of got hurt by 6th edition.

I would guess around 200 pounds would get you about 1000 points army. Really depends on what models you want though

Price would really depend on what army and which units you use but expect to spend at least a $200-300.

Grey Knights are the cheapest army to get a competitive force from buck to buck, and the best in the game to boot. Reason so many dislike them.

Hmm I've got a few I'm interested in but need to make my mind up I'd need to know the cheapest, SW/Tau/DE

Cost will probably all be pretty similar. Tau are set rumored to get a new codex soonest though

I have been looking at SW units and GW doesnt sell long fangs anymore..

They might be getting a new model, perhaps a finecast recast... this seems to be the unfortunate way things at GW have been going recently.

If you buy the marine devastator squad, use bits from the space wolves pack to customize them to look Wolfy

God I hope not. Hopefully just doing a re-pack of the weapons avail inside.
