Out of curiosity, which ones are you missing?
I listened to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds on vinyl, and it was really neat. That synth part sounded really warm, but piercing enough to be annoying (like I expect!). There is a characteristic of vinyl that is strangely satisfying, but it doesn't make it worth investing in..
I would need to double check, I have a lot of weird little splash releases that were done in the US only, but going off of the Official UK LP list from their wikipedia page, I think I'm missing the following:
Abbey Road
Let it Be
(maybe) Please Please Me
and maybe Yellow Submarine.
I know that I'm missing like 4 albums, and I'm fairly certain they're those 4, but I will make sure...
it'd cost a couple hundred dollars to get original vinyls of those albums, but it would be the one collection I would be proud to have, cause I have one of the original run White Albums.

I have an original US copy of 'Abbey Road' on vinyl, unopened as new. Care to make me an offer, Alf?

My first child? Though you will have to provide test tube for the child...

Having moved a large vinyl collection a few times, I'll keep MP3s with uncased CDs as backup.

Vinyl. You almost get a different sense of emotion hearing your favorite band on one of those old things. It's almost as good as seeing your favorite band live .

I like them both. Old vinyl is good, but I still mostly listen to CDs.
Digital is fine, but you need a decent soundsystem to appreciate the music properly. I love the convenience of being able to find an old song that just popped into my head on youtube, but the sound on the file is usually weak, and obviously that issue is compounded on crappy laptop speakers.
Does anyone else recall the scene in I Love You Man where Paul Rudd decides to introduce his fiance to his favorite band, Rush, then realizes the impact is completely lost on those crappy little speakers?
