Dumb question, I do have the codex but I must of missed it.....

Do we have anything that aids in deepstriking anymore? Is it the Icons of Chaos? Marks of Chaos? i dont see that sort of stuff on my units anymore...

Dimentional key once it's unlocked(after bearer kills any enemy in combat) then after that all deep strikes do not scatter at all. Also does something to the terrain for so many inches for the enemy. So put it on a chaos lord biker or a demon prince with wings and try to get a kill first or 2nd turn.

The only think that I can think of is that dimensional key daemon weapon. It is kind of strange as you have to kill a unit first to " unlock" it.

True. But once you do "unlock" it, it's the ultimate deepstriking-wet-dream until the end of the game. So it makes sense to give it at least some sort of drawback.

Oh I am in no way saying that it is bad, I just find it strange that it is the only thing that prevents scattering in the CSM codex. But when you do unlock it your opponent better be prepared.

The real trick with the key is hoping that all your stuff doesn't come in before you get a chance to unlock it. Considering you're not likely to get into assault until turn 2 (unless you're fighting a drop pod army, or someone who infiltrates right up close) andthat reserves are in on a 3+ now, it's not overly likely that it'll be that effective. It would have been nice if the icons could be used to help bring in deep strikes like in the last dex, especially now that we can take daemon allies, but in this edition you're gonna just have to hope that you manage to kill something before all your deepstrikers come in.

I just find it so strange that we lost anything that aids deepstriking in our new codex aside from a 40pt artefact that i need to kill something before its useful.

It sounds like chaos is regressing and our technology just got.. older
