Subject: Is Fulgrim haunted by the spirit of Ferrus Manus?

I am currently reading Angel Exterminatus which stars Fulgrim among others. In it he sees the reflection of Ferrus and goes into a rampage.
I gave this nagging feeling that this isn't the first time this sort of happening has been described.
So is Ferrus haunting Fulgrim, are the Dark Gods playing tricks on Fulgrim or it is his guilt showing?

For now maybe Fulgrim is just going towards the loonie bin, but we'll see where the BL writers go with this.

It's probably just repressed guilt, or the after effects of having his soul banished from his body for a while.

I personally don't think Ferrus Mannus actually died, I like to think that his arms stored his soul in a manner of speaking and slowly repairing himself and like the other Loyalist he will be ready at the end times, so he isn't dead but he is also no longer flesh and blood, but rather made purely of Necronytyr, but not enough to take a full physical shape, either that or he's in a stasis in the most advanced dreadnaught known to mankind. That's my personal theory.

There are very few certainties in 40K. Ferrus and the Angel being dead are two of those certainties.

Sadly I have to agree, it was pretty final in relation to Ferrus. Also try telling the Blood Angels that Sanguinius isn't dead, I'm pretty sure they've been raging over it these last 10000 years

I thought Sanguinus became the Sanguinary? Just curious but, what about Dorn I've seen something about the book Space marine no longer being canon, and Guillaman? Could he be healing through the flocks of pilgrims who come to see him? sort of a side effect of so many people believing he isnt dead? or is he dead?

The theory is that the Sanguinator is Sanguinius' soul, but it could just as easily be some crazy marine. There's a possibility Dorn isn't dead, but he doesn't have hands any more if he is still alive, so his use would be limited to roundhouse kicking people until he got new ones. There have been claims that Guilliman is healing, but this is also said to be impossible inside a stasis field, and he's still got some Slanneshi poison in him either way.

True, but it seems unlikely Dorn could cut Manus' hands off and stick them onto his stumps using just his feet and teeth.

Ask Fulgrim to chop them off, I'm sure he would be more than happy to oblige

You can heal inside a stasis field, the Heart of Iron managed to heal a bolter wound while the patient was still in stasis.
Angel Exterminatus iirc.

Sanguinius' body was cleaned up and is preserved in stasis in the very depths of Baal IIRC. It's their most sacred place so he isn't exactly on show.
