IIRC there's going to be a HH short story about the huge tank battle with the Iron Warriors, if thats what you're after?

Yeah thats the one...the biggest in Imperial History apparently, now to just hope the right author gets it

John French is writing it.

Should be good then IMO.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Yes it was the largest tank battle in Imperial history until the Traitor Guard invasion of Medusa during the 13th Black Crusade.

Holy gak! A novel wouldn't do it justice. BL would have to produce a black metal album.

A Death Metal album would be better.

I confess to knowing little about the varieties of metal. For me, the categories are "metal I can listen to" and "metal I can't." FWIW, I'd think Iron Maiden should provide the soundtrack for 40k.

And on that note, I daresay I'd enjoy a book or short story focusing on Noise Marines.

Iron Maiden is good, and honestly I don't think most Death or Black Metal bands could really capture the operatic tone of 40k. Or rather, the sheer levels of ham and machismo.

Manowar could do it. They are the only band whose music and image rivals the sheer homoeroticism present in Graham McNeill's body of work.

Ftr, Blax and I know eachother outside of Dakka, which is why I insult him the way I do.

But I'll stop.

I've never met this Void Dragon roughian outside of this forum; I have no idea who this cantankerous carnosaur is.

Ban him. Ban him immediately Manchu, before it's too late.

Possibly Ingo Pech, but well, Herzog roars.

I would also love to read a book about the Flesh Tearers getting make extinct by an Order of Sororitas. That would be lovely to read about, and much deserved.

Cool comment, which song? My favorite is the Ghost of the Navigator, but the Clansman also rule, and bonus points they are football-fanatics like myself.

#1 thing I'd like to see from Black Library: more sequels to Sandy Mitchell's Dark Heresy tie-in Scourge the Heretic. Honestly I think those are among the best 40k fiction out there - a very under-appreciated pair of novels.

Agreed - I really enjoyed them and the characters - sad there has not been a third :(

I want more eldar phoenix lords in print, but from a space marine POV. I find with Eldar POV books, they always seem more like angsty humans as authors try to make them relatable to the reader.

Spoiler:
I loved the last night lords book where they battled the eldar, with Jain Zar - she was able to live up to her tabletop rep (hits insanely fast, will be killed by a well thrown christmas pudding), rather than an insanely over emotional almost human.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.
