So I had a little bit of spare time this weekend and decided what better way to spend the hours than to finally putting Fenris together and getting him ready to prime...

What I didn't realize was how much pinning I was going to have to do.

So lets tally it up. The dismount was only 4 (legs to base, torso to legs, cape to torso x2)

The Dragoon on the other hand.....was.....9!!! (both legs to base, one leg to body, head to body, Fenris to body and the 4 just to put the second Fenris together).

This is probably the most pinning I have ever done. Not to mention the green stuff gap filling.

I'd post some pictures but I've had enough for the day and don't want to see those models anymore right now.

Anything else out there like it?

Well, thats preety unusal for fenris, being a Khador player i have seen the model and there should be that much pinning, however i have never bought the model so i don't have much info. But yes, very strange indeed
I guess if fenris has that much trouble im getting a Classic metal spriggan next month, which is two times his size...

Its all the odd angles on the models, and the upper bodies are heavier than the lowers, the horse is in 3 pieces and attach to the base with the one leg that has to be glued to the body. Pinning as much as I did was the only way to truly get it to stay in one piece with repeated use (hopefully).

The Spriggan shouldnt be too bad, pin the legs to the base, legs to the lower torso, lower to upper, and arms to body.

Hmm, now i just have to pick up a pin vice... my other warjacks wern't too bad to build

I have the P3 pin vice (just cuz I picked it up on sale for like $5). It works fine, have had to replace the bits 3 times in 6 months but I tend to pin everything...

Might get one of those, however, i really dislike pinning, then again, If i don't, iv got 2Kg of molded metal to glue with low strengh super glue , so yeah, pinning seems the way to go with khador models

Pinning can be a pain for larger models, but for basic troopers its well worth it. Especialy the first time a kid picks up a bane thrall or Eyriss by the arms and they dont fall off. Or Uncle Jo by the sword to pull him out of your foam...

I know what you mean... walking into my office and finding a Juggernaut in 3 pieces over the floor...

Interesting, never seen butcher play with only one 'jack

Not sure why I posted that in here, I think it was meant for another thread....

But yea, pButchers feat benefits from lots of bodies, especially with weapons master.
