Well i thought i'd post these here for people to see. I've dusted off my eldar. Broken and mangled as they are i'm cobbling them back together in the hopes of a possible new dex within a year. This is there first outing in a long long time so started off by getting them some skyfire, Not made the gun yet but heres the defence line and my new look guardian








These are meant to hoover so will be on bases like a platform. Then land inplace. All the eldar defence lines i've seen are some sort of force field varients which is not all that eladr really. They don't use force fields all that much other than to deaden impacts rather than soild defence. So this is what i thought of. I also didn't see them building cheap defences either so again went for something deployable out of a webway/fleet.

Oh i'm also looking for some new plastic guardian platform weapons as i have 60 odd guardain and old metal ones and i perfer the look of the newer kind. So if anyone fancies a trade for a set of D lines let me know

Where did you get or how did you make the Eldar line? I have a friend who needs fortifications and hates all things imperial.

That ADL looks great! Did you sculpt them freehand and cast them (if not, how did you sculpt them)? What is it made out of?

Cool defense line guess you are casting them yourself?

As for the mini like the one red shoulder plate looks good nice detail and stands out. Might steal that idea. The blue on the gun I think is a bit to much and keep the blue as a detail spot colour and paint the whole gun bleach bone.

Yup these are freehand sculpted with standard milliput and styrene for the sharp edged shapes. Then moulded.

@Nerconlord if you want to have a go at making something like this you can veiw some of my vids to get the basics of modelmaking.

@ Fab - yup the gun is a little heavy looking, not sure a solid bone would help though might draw the eye even more to it. I was thinking of switching the blue and the bone about on it instead?

I am no sculptor but I do know how to cast molds. I would suggest to you. To make up a few of theses sets and get the, available for sale ASAP as it is only a matter of time before a 3rd party manufacturer does it. There is already xenos ADL for Necrons.

Hmm i'd have to make a multi mould for that, I guess it might be worth a punt. What would you pay for something like this?

ah well, they are going to be a little like the defence platforms crossed with half the wave serpents turret. Well thats the idea. Not settled on anything solid yet.


Still debating on a Craftworld Rune change. Which i think is on the cards my old one looks a little simple.

Those Defense lines would also make very good Berserker defense lines....
