Subject: Two questions about (Daemonblade-induced psykerhood and Templars) and (GK Terminator Armour)

What happens if an Inquisitor with a Daemonblade, who is allied to some Black Templars, rolls a 12 on the Daemonblade chart and becomes a psyker? No psyker that is not also a Grey Knight may be fielded as an ally to Black Templars, after all.
Is there any rule that prevents Paladins or any GK IC in TDA from performing a Sweeping Advance? The TDA armoury entry only prevents "Terminators" from doing so, which (RAW) clearly does not apply to any of the above.

Inquisitors from the GK codex are technically "Grey Knights", in the same way that units from the BT codex are all "Black Templars". Which is to say, don't worry about it.
As to TDA and sweeping advance, there is no way tp bypass or loophole it, a unit in TDA may not sweeping advance. The only unit in the GK codex modeled with TDA that can sweeping advance is the DreadKnight, and that is because it is DradKnight armor, not TDA.

That's not what it says though. Page 63 states that "Terminators may not Sweeping Advance". It doesn't say anything about ICs or Paladins wearing Terminator Armour.

Actually, as per pages 27 and 91 Terminators are models in a Grey Knight Terminator unit.

Read the armor rule on pg 63. You cannot sweeping advance in Terminator armor.

Sorry if I sound rude, but did you actually read all the posts in the thread before responding?

Yes, you were trying to claim that Paladins or ICs are exempt from the ARMOR rule because there is a unit named Terminators. The rules in the armor section apply to the ARMOR. Just read that section and you will see. Then you check the pages you cited and see that those models are wearing Terminator ARMOR, which Paladins and some ICs to as well, which follows the rules for Terminator ARMOR.

And the Terminator Armour rule only states that "Terminators may not Sweeping Advance". It doesn't actually say that any unit wearing Terminator Armour can't Sweeping Advance, only that Terminators can't.

This could even be intended - showing that Paladins are trained better and can therefore handle the cumbersome armor better.

I'd agree if it didn't reference "models in Terminator armor" and "Grey Knight Terminators" differently.

No, it doesn't. It uses "Grey Knight Terminators" exactly once, and nowhere does it equate "models in Terminator armor" to "Terminators".

So then, your ICs and Paladins can embark on Rhinos and Razorbacks and only count as 1 model for transport capacity?

Come guys terminator armor is terminator armor you basically stating that because IC's wear a new suit of shiny armor he msut be able to sweeping advance, Much heresy if so then Typhus and Abaddon can sweeping advance as well because they have worn their mini dread suits for 10,000years. Its foolish to assume that a grey knight paladin can preform a sweeping advance when other marine's cannot due so, Your in terminator armor you cannot sweeping advance ever. End of story only the Emprah can preform such things

I'm not going to play any models in Terminator Armour as being allowed to sweeping advance, but so far there's been nothing that, technically, prevents them from doing so, similarly to how Black Templars Terminators don't actually have Terminator Armour and thus can Sweeping Advance (but don't get a 5++ from the Crux, since they don't have the armour)...

Terminator armor is Terminator armor, just because the codex specifies "Grey Knight Terminators" only once in the entire section does not mean everything in terminator armor that isn't the Terminator Unit can SA. Any model in "terminator armor" can be named "My Little Ponicus the Mutilator" but he's still a Terminator.
Hence why its labeled in the specific model's wargear that they have Terminator Armor, which means they follow the rules of said armor. If you want the +2 save with SA, go for a model/IC in Artificer Armor.
Anything beyond that is just being a rule shark and TFG syndrome.

I believe the naysayers are missing the point. YMDC is not how most people play it, but RAW. Not a single person has brought a RAW reason on why Grey Knight Terminators are the only ones that cannot Sweep.
To discount the "Grey Knight Terminator" tag and limit the use of unit/model names as a unique identifier as a target for rules will end badly. Using these names is one of the foundations of unit rules.
