So I am doing the BEF that fought in the Battle of France. Picking up a Matilda I and some crusader early war brits but wanted to ask a couple of question too.
Anyone know any other miniature that do 28mm early war brits that are nice?
Also any well known battles for the BEF in France other than the Battle of Arras and Dunkirk?
Don't worry picking up some EW germans too so there is a fair force to fight

BEF miniatures specialized in Early war miniatures, but then Warlord Games pulled a Disney and bought them.

Warlord use to sell them, they still may do, they pulled some miniatures away for sometime as they were re-tooling some stuff.

Of those Miniatures, only the BEF ones are suitable for France 1940. None of the others are.
They are the only ones with the chest mounted gas mask, the iconic feature of BEF troops.

How on earth did I miss those fellas! Must have looked a million times at the warlord store, guess it is because they are not with the rest at the end of the British bit.
As was mine and he also fought his way back to Dunkirk, would be nice to think they may have looked out for each other during the struggle home this force is in memory of him seeing as he is no longer with us
Cheers for the info!
Also thanks piston honda for your input

Mine was a Bren Gunner with the West Kents, had a nasty time of it... Very nasty time.
Only just got away. Lost most of his mates in the rearguard actions.

Aye, seems to be same with Grandad too, he wouldn't talk bout anything to do with the war, not a thing. But I can see why of course. His record is in my house, just depends what my mum did with it.
It is more than likely then that their units did cover each other, it is said that he got on one of the last boats off Dunkirk.
