Since FW models are allowed in games now has anyone tried out the Necron Tomb Stalker from FW?

It's stats arn't too bad and has some pretty sweet rules, the only problem i can see with it is having no invul save...

What i wanna know are if they are effective? What are they good against? What are they weak against? with only having a few FW models i want to make sure it's even woth purchasing besides the fact that it's a bad ass looking model!

One thing that i can see being useful is running it with Zandrekh to use his phased reinforcments to DS him behind a building or something so he can't be shot to peices

Yet I don't recall the 40k Rulebook mentioning this even once.

They are less-discouraged, is what he meant to say. But in the fervor of of the new edition and no official GW-run tournaments, some TOs are allowing Forge World models.

Well when you put it that way, the topic is clear.
Beforehand it was a bit murky.

Never used one.

That said though 3+ armor 5 wounds and Toughness 7 makes for a pretty nasty anything.
Plasma wounds on 4's Krak on 3s Lascannons on 2's everything is an uphill battle.

Yes

Assuming your opponent didn't list tailor, I feel they would do extremely well with a balanced list.

Canada!

Think of how many more attacks and wounds you'd be getting with the spyders.

It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax... It's just a show, I should really just relax...

I've faced the Tomb Stalker multiple times and it does pretty well.

I don't suggest deep striking since a bad mishap roll would ruin your day and they move fast anyway.

Poisoned weapons don't affect it so you don't have to worry about Sternguards Hellfire rounds.

So as long as you make an effort to move him through a bit of cover to be able to save those high-strength/low-AP shots that are sure to come its way, it will shred just about anything upon reaching its destination.

Targets to stay away from:
-terminators of any kind (even claws can hurt it with re-roll to wound)
-bubble-wrapped librarians (the force weapon can still insta-kill it)
