Ok im new to space marines but im very interested in the psychic dread. Give it a pair of blood talons , wings of sanguines and put it in a drop pod. Drop the pod and deploy the dread away from your enemy so to have the pod as cover. Jump round next turn to assault and blend.

Is this a viable tactic because getting one of these into assault against my friends ork horde army would be killer!!!!!

sounds legit. use his other psy power to roll on the biomancy chart and just go to town when you get there.

if you get warp speed or iron arm...god help him.

On building Tyranid army flow chart.

It makes no sense for Libby-dreads to take blood talons as he exchanges one dccw for his force-weapon and the additional-attack-thing of the talons work only if it is a pair. So you should keep the other dccw for the additional strength.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

If he goes with Wings of Sanguinius, he can't roll for Biomancy as you can't mix and match powers from the codex and the BRB. Now, if his play group allows that as a house rule, go for it.

wanted wings so when its my turn i can get past my pod quicker and get into gd assault range. Alway wanted talons to do max dmg to his horde. Think taking the force weapon is better against meatier targets.

Thought you could mix and match powers aswel aslong as you kept atleast one thats your own and you only use powers from the list thats allowed for your specific army??

No, it's codex powers or rulebook powers, not both.

Only Chaos SMs have an exception to that (for the time being).
