I'd consider what the wife has said. Automatically Appended Next Post: Still, could be the first gay chapter, you could call them the rainbow warriors!

It looks pretty sweet, but I'd expect that more from a Slaanesh renegade marine group than a loyalist squad.
Then again if you like it that's about all that counts really.

Wouldn't be the first, back in RT and 2nd, the Rainbow Warriors were a real chapter with fluff in a couple of GW books.

} am not complaining about what you said, but the " if you like it the who cares what other people think" thing is kind of bs. If I was to only play fun games then yes, I agree. But I go to tournies and paint is judged. A large portion of that judge is if the average person likes the scheme. If the average person laughs and thinks it is 'gay', then a tourney that I could win best overall in I can lose due to the paint.

Going pink for loyalist risks a penalty for 'not Slaanesh' without the worry about people's take on social issues, and would probably be a risk in general as well.

Alright, so it looks like I need to get out my actual photo equipment....
I said in the original post that the red came out light in the picture. It goes from BA red to a deep ultramarine blue. Kind of a "sharable chapter" idea and the purple was an obvious transition color. (Red + blue = purple).
I will get new pictures up late tonight.

And where did you specify you were planning on entering this in tournies? You don't have to react so harshly.
Edit: We can only judge on what we see in the picture, and even though you may say the red turned out a bit light on the picture, we can still only give feedback on what we see.

I apologize if I came across as harsh, that was not the intent. As far as painting goes, I always like to dtrive for ternament quality paint. I most like will never play marines in a tourney (I like playing my tau way too much), but like to hold my armies up to the possibilty at all times.
As far as the colors go, I will get more accurate pictures soon. I worked untill 2 am last night and then had military obligations this morning at 5am. Litte time to get my camera lighting out.
I was suggested to have a couple more colors for an easier transition between the main three. I will try that and take some new pictures.

Right, I understand wanting to paint your models to the best of your ability, I do that too, but personally at the end of the day, as long as I'm satisfied with it then it's good enough for me.
I think it's different though if I try to win a competition with it.
I guess I'll wait until the new picture to get a better look, though I would like to point out that my first comment was that it looked pretty sweet. I'm a big fan of blending, and though the colours on the picture turned out a bit light, you say they are deeper on the actual model, which we'll see whenever you get the time to post the picture. No rush.

well to be honest, I want a bit nicer transition between the colors. To do so it would be just too much work, paint, and a bit too 'busy' looking of a model. I will still get pictures of the current rhino, but I am going to take the other and do a purple to blue transition.
The only thing i am curious about is whether to start with the dark blue on the bottom and fade to a rich purple, or the other way around.

I would start with a dark blue on the bottom and fade to a rich purple. Personal opinion of course, but I can imagine it looking better that way.
