Subject: Vector Smash?

Something that just occured to me is would a FMC be able to half what it rolls on Vector Strike to increase to S10 as per Smash rules?

No for two reasons, you use unmodified Str, Vector Strike is not a close combat attack.

In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
