What do you guys / gals think of this new rule? For a sum of points, you can get a fighter ace to man one of your flyers. You roll a die, and consult the table for your army. (it even has ones listed for Space Wolves and other armies without flyers, which I find interesting.)

The Space Marine flyer is already meh, and I can't see paying more points for the options there. However, the Vendetta having a chance to get +1 AV on it's Front Arc is amazing. AV 13 Vendettas? Hellllo.

Do all the armies have Ace rules, or just the ones the book follows? How about the Sisters of Battle?

Every army except Sisters of Battle and Chaos Space Marines have a fighter ace, from what I've seen.

They can do things like add +1 AV to the front facing, affect dog fighting (a new rule for flyers), reroll 1s to hit, +1 BS for a few of them, leave the board and come in on any board edge, etc.

Each race gets 3 abilities, and you roll on their table to see what you get.

The Crusade of Fire book says it's 40k Legal, and I was wondering what anyone else thinks they are worth it.

I'm aware that alot of FW books say 40k legal. I just want to stress the importance of letting your opponent know beforehand. Some people I've played in the past liked to think that beings a book says 40k legal than they can do w/e they want

Just worth noting the 40k BGB states to use codexes. Which the IA books are not.

I'd be willing to play it in a game though.

It's ok, I can't see myself paying an extra 50 pts for a Fighter Ace on a Stormtalon. Because they are barely maybe kind of worth 155pts, idk about 205. >.>

Well it says if your opponent agree's to use fighter ace rules, glanced over it earlier and thought meh, doesnt seem that good.

Crusade of Fire is not a Forgeworld book, but I would still ask your opponent first before using anything from it.
