So, I guess I should preface this, with the age old (and sometime's dreaded) statement, "So, I'm starting a new Army."
This Army is a CSM and Daemon's Allies list, with Epidemius the Tallyman... I've had LOTS of fun with him in the list... But, absolutely detest the bloaty/silly looking models for plague bearers and the Tallyman himself...
I present, for your critique and discussing, my concept for a Tallyman "Redesign".
My personal thoughts: Who better to keep the tallies of those who have died to the endless plagues, than a good ol' fashioned Plague Doctor?
As you can see... He is HEAVILY based on the Plague Doctors of the middle ages. But, also seems like he would fit in a chaos allied list.
Any ideas on why this is a good/bad thing? And, is there anything I should change/lose/include?
Thanks for stopping by!

I think it's a nice concept for the character. Forgotten Realms D&D had (not sure of the current status of their fluff) a deity called Jergal, who in the present era had become something of a tallyman--he and his priests took note of all the dead, at the end of every day noting that their task was closer to completion.
Going with that sort of concept, I'd suggest a pose which is 'passive'--i.e. the demon is observing the tally, rather than just creating it himself. Maybe you could work a palanquin into it somehow, to tie it in to the existing model somewhat.

I love your concept. Keep us posted if you find any minis to fit that sketch. Very cool!

Thanks for the props on the concept! I didnt know if it'd go over well or not. So, it's cool to know that it's not TERRIBLY offensive to the original idea.
I definitely agree with a more passive pose. The one I have him in as of the moment (in the sketch) is a bit more "Come Get Some!" than I find that I'm actually doing in the modeling. He's a bit more reserved. But, a little more menacing or horror-esque, due to the model that I've based him on. I used one of the cultists from the "Dark Vengeance" set, who had a hood and an outstretched hand that is wearing bladed fingers. I'm going to leave out the palanquin (never been a fan of them being THAT lazy, haha). So, I'm going to build up a scenic base of plague corpses around old ruin to get him level to the model's height. But, I feel that the "walking on" stature of the model combines well with the idea of taking that bladed hand, and having him scratch marks into the wall of the ruin next to him, as if a tally of those who had died. Either that, or have him scratch the big "X" into the wall, symbolizing "Dead Inside" that was used during times of epidemics, like the plague.

Thanks for the support! As I said before, I'm glad that I got some feedback and didnt seem like a huge doofus by making something really lame... haha
As I said, I'm starting with a Dark Vengeance cultist
Specifically the dude on the left. I've changed his pose to have his right arm lower down in the "trudging on with my weapon" pose, and his left arm in lower and turned slightly back in a very odd angle (to accentuate the "unnatural/inhuman" aspect of the model), in which the clawed hand will be scratching tally marks into the stone wall.
Thanks again, for your responses, guys!
Any more ideas that anyone's got, that could help me make this guy as awesome as I'm hoping, would be great!
I'll post pictures as I get going!

Hmmm... I don't quite know if I'm a fan of the Carnivale Plague Doc. As of right now, I'm waiting on my buddy to bring my greenstuff back (he picked some up for me last time he went to a hobby store, and hasnt made the delivery yet! D But, I have a good amount of the model positioned how I want him. I just have to do the work on him with the green stuff! D:

This is my counts as epidemius:
I have a daemonette/nurgle theme to my conversions (See: http://www.coolminiornot.com/314391 and http://www.coolminiornot.com/316077" target="_new" rel="nofollow"> http://www.coolminiornot.com/316077)
This one is a bit of a work in progress (not painted that well). It is a daemonette sat on a few cushions carried by a bunch of nurglings. She is holding a feather and writting down the tally in a sliced off piece of flesh. Probably a bit too jolly for what you're going for though.

That sounds like a good idea.

The sketch you've got in the OP looks like a doctor's outfit from the plague - tried to see if I could find anything like it but my google foo has been defeated at the moment -

Thanks, man! I'm glad you like the concept! I should have photos of the mini's progress as soon as my friend gets me my green stuff, tomorrow. Thanks for the support!
