Hello.
This is going to be my Sons of Heracles blog....all my WIP will be posted here.

First up is Squad Theseus.
This is my original Army from way back. All I have done to bring them up to date is swap the Helmets and tidy up the paint,was going to strip them and start again but....nah!!....these will do to try out some ideas. The next Squad will be my old Assault squad but may change the jet packs for a different style,we will see.
These are still very much WIP.

The army looks fantastic mate. Just started my own D.I.Y and they also involve a purple, but I must say yours is very nice looking. I also must ask, where did you get those helmets from? They are amazing!

Painted up this old Razorbck i had hanging about from a ebay impulse buy.
Painted it for my Sons of Heracles....not sure on it,what do you lot think?

Are those Spartan helmets decals or freehand? If freehand, did you buy them, or make them yourself?

The Razorback looks cool... but I feel like it needs something Greek. Everything else is a great combo of 40k and greek/ roman, and it feels really natural. Keep up the good work!

Loving it so far! It should be Herekles if we're going for the Greek spelling, but that's just me being nit picky

If you look into Greek Mythology you can come up with some really appropriate squad/tank names to add flavour too.

So for example, an Assault marine Squad, a land speeder, or a formation of Bikers could be called 'Bellerophon' the Greek Hero who rode Pegasus to kill Chimera. Likewise, Jason + argonaughts could be a veteran squad + the Argo could be their tank?

Bouncing ideas. I love how the army is progressing, it's nice to see a marine army that's not all gold. The purple and White really suit them. Loving the Puppet War heads, expecially the deplumed ones on your assault marines.
