So apparently the Warhammer fantasy battle RTS will be published by Sega and created by Creative Assembly...

A fantasy themed total war is long overdue. The Call of Warhammer kingdoms mod was really fun, but a newer engine will be nice.

As much as I love RTS games, I would love to see less of a resource gathering type game, and a game more like warhammer where you get to pick your units from a list based on points and then go against the other army. In other words, I hope they make it just like the table top game and less like other RTS games.

Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives. |

That is how total war works, I think we're onto something cool. Heres some gameplay footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDDxPHezwMs

Awesome, I'm not a huge PC gamer, so sorry if I sound ignorant on some of the gameplay in total war. I've always played consoles and we've never seen a game like this done well so I'm quite excited. The mark of chaos was a disaster and I don't believe you actually got to choose the units in your army. Either way, this is exciting.

You could choose what units to take before each 'level/battle'.
If you'd got time, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't as widely appreciated as C&C etc and as such, fared badly in comparison.
