Must be overlooking it, but can anyone point out where in the FAQ's (i've scanned through the one on GW's site) it is mentioned that synapse tyranids do not have eternal warrior (or immunity to instant death)?

IIRC that was the previous nid codex. ID is very much applicable to anything in the nid dex unless it is an eternal warrior.

Interesting way to ask the question... Can you point to anywhere in the current codex it says they DO have eternal warrior?

Interesting indeed. Synapse gave immunity to ID in the previous codex . In the new codex it doesn't. So either you're playing with the old codex or you haven't read through the new one after buying it, just assuming everything familiarly named is the same.

Sorry I should have mentioned, I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend, I do not own the codex. I did some quick research and I found alot of threads about the subject.
Let me rephrase the question (because I guess all we wanted is some clarity), are synapse creatures immune to instant death y/n? And if no, where is the rumor coming from that they had or have or should have had etc. eternal warrior...

True, I did not read it as the question was assuming that synapse granted EW.
To clarify my answer from before; The previous codex version of synapse made the synapse creature and everything in synapse range immune to instant death. The current codex version of synapse does not. Synapse no longer grants immunity to instant death or eternal warrior. The only units with eternal warrior have it listed in their special rules (I believe the hivelord is an EW).

Ah.... that explains a bit, so it's a rule that came from the older codex. Rgr that.

Nope - the current Nid codex has zero Eternal Warrior units.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
