Psychic Prisoner aboard a Black Ship

So ran into a situation I'm trying to clear up and or make sure I know exactly what is going on.
1. Do the nemesis force halberds get treated as unwieldy or since they are unshaken force weapons they ignore this? It says they get plus +2 initiave which wouldn't make sense to me if they were unwieldy...
2. Can or can not Justicar's take nemesis falchions or not?
3. Models with nemesis falchions still can use their storm bolter and then during the charge do they still receive the +1 for the charge or do they loose that?
Saw several issues watching a game the other day however since it was not my game I didn't want to say anything and then when I got home I started second guessing myself.
Thanks
B

1. halberds are follow the unusual force weapon rules. Ie ignore the chart in the BRB and follow only the codex rules.
2.Consider it stats any model and swap the sword then yes Justicar's can take falchions.
3.Gks no longer have true grit and the storm bolter is not a pistol so no bonus attack from the storm bolter but you do get a +1 for changing.
that should clear those issues up. It sounds like they were playing a mix of deamonhunters and grey knights.

1: been covered.
2: Yes, any model can take them. Falchions however suck.
3: True Grit doesn't exist in 6th edition and actually didn't exist in 5th edition outside of the DH codex, and when that was updated it was completely removed.

Whilst you are quite right I believe the question was about using the SB in the shooting phase and then charging (which is yes they can, as it's an Assault type weapon).

Curious as to why you think that....I mean I was starting to think about it and it would give you a justicar 4 attacks during a charge or 3 if charged all with force weapons. I liked what I did see this guy doing with a different twist on the grey knights for a change.
I appreciate the answers and it does appear they had several rules backwards that the grey knight player thought were correct but his opponent convinced him otherwise.

They are far too expensive for only +1 attack.
As the actual RAW was originially, they gave +2A. However GW FAQ'd that they only give one, so they suck.

Quick question. Are bolters considered pistols and would they add +1 attack?

You wound think that until you looked at Assault Cannons, which are not Assault, and Heavy Flamers which are not Heavy weapons Etc.

Heavy Flamers aren't heavy? Aren't they usually vehicle mounted?
The fact that the assault cannon is heavy doesn't really matter as they tend to be mounted on vehicles or TDA (who have relentless, iirc).

Heavy Flamers are Assault 1, and they are sometimes vehicle mounted, but infantry can take them as well (Terminators and some others I think). Assault Cannons are Heavy 4 The point being that "Because they are Bolt Pistols" does not always work, Examples like Assault cannons that are not Assault weapons, they are Heavy weapons.

An assault cannon is also a cannon. I think "cannon" takes the precedence here. The way I see it, Bolt is the adjective and pistol is the noun. What is a bolt pistol? A pistol that fires bolts. That simple. An assault cannon is a cannon that is used for assaults (the storming kind, not the CC kind), meaning that the cannon will have a high rate of fire. It does not mean that the cannon is light enough to be carried by anyone, unless they are a walker or wearing a special kind of armor. Think of a .50 machine gun. That's basically what an assault cannon is like. Heavy Flamers are just a larger and stronger variant than the standard flamer. It takes 2 guardsmen to use a heavy flamer, doesn't it?

Heavy Flamers AREN'T 'heavy' weapons - they are 'Assault' and can be fired on the move by infantry.
Assault Cannons aren't ASSAULT weapons, they are Heavy weapons.
Bolt Pistols are pistols because they are pistols.
Bolt guns are NOT pistols because they are bolt GUNS.

Bolt Pistols are pistols because they have the pistol rule.
Bolters don't have the pistol rule, nor do Stormbolters.

Ok sorry to bring this back but is there an FAQ that States that justicars can not have falchions? Same guy that had issues or questions about his army list got tossed out of a local tournament yesterday because all his justicars had them and the tournamnet organizer said he had to run them not as that and he didn't have models to replace them and it was a no proxy tournament. The kids only 13 and was very disapoonted and I'm posses they threw him out because of that.

No, there is no such FAQ and all GK Justicars may take falchions.
Only FAQ entry relating to Falchions is the one stating that pair of Falchions is only one CCW, so gives total of +1 A.

No there is not an FAQ anywhere official that states justicars cannot take falchions.
The only problem with 'em is that they are not worth their cost in pretty much any circumstances. They may have been if they had granted the bonus attack for having two CCWs in 'addition' to their ability, but that got FAQ-ed out of existance as others have already noted.

Obviously we're missing something here.
They're plain as day allowed by codex.
Its my opinion that A; Someone is lying, or B; someone had it out to get the kid C; something equally silly

I'm thinking that its probably option B I asked why the kid had left and the organizer said he had to remove the kid from the event because he had an incorrect list because he had given the justicars the falchions in his list and had no models to replace them. Either he was greatly confused and it was an honest mistake...the guy that took his spot came in second in the event and id hate to think he was trying to get a friend in like that but one never knows...thanks
