My friend Elena and I had worked on this very off and on over the course of a few years.

It's mostly mastered and leveled in every place accept 2 songs but the quality is top notch all the way through.

I guess I am spoiled, I have a friend that does the best Arnold impression, yours just does not stack up.

Not bad at all. I'm not really a HipHop/Rap kinda guy, but it's not terrible. It sounds very well produced and I can hear that you've put a lot of care and attention into the production side of the album.

Have to agree with Deathreaper though, the Arnie intro just don't cut it!

Also, if you're not a fan of hiphop listen to the song 'Sunrise, sunset' near the end. (It's marked in the more info section) It's a Jazz/big band song.

Some severe flow misses at places, but then I am not a hip-hop/rap person. It's not bad. But for Gods sake, cut the Scottish "Arnold" intro.

Elena (I assume that's her singing?) is a very good singer. Love her vocals on "Mission Impossible".

Thanks, she has a few of her own solo songs in the middle of the album if you're not into hip hop.

Summary

Sounds like a preset party as far as the drum and synth tracks go. Rapping is airy and has no bite for my taste. The singing is above average but the lyrical content is basic. I wouldn't say its a nightmare but it sure isn't a daydream at this point.

Wow, if you take out Arnold I just scrape by with a B-. :-)

I mostly work with samples over preset drums but I have a few deviations here and there.

Upon reflection I do believe the goofiness of the intro clouded my judgment a bit.

Sorry I should have clarified that the lyrical content of the rapping was good and that the lyrical content of the singing was basic.

I should ask. What are you composing with? Admittedly my comment about the presets was perhaps too passionate. I have an aversion to presets because most if not all the time in my opinion they just aren't ear catching. I haven't done much sampling myself but what I'm hearing from you sounds good.

One last comment about the drum tracks. I know it would make a world of difference if the drums interacted with the vocals from you and Elena.

Most if not all of these things are completely fixable in the studio whether that be at home or with your tech guy.

Religion is more evil than atheism, it's all how it's used.

I usually use Fruity loops for the synth stuff. Other than that I just use simple ejay stuff to loop the samples.

The main reason I use presets is that, honestly, I'm a terrible drummer/drum pattern maker.

I'm not great with melody so the singing lyrics tend to be a bit more simplistic. The studio I used to go to closed down, without giving me a heads up so I wasn't able to get my masters or even the separate tracks to remix and mix down.

So, basically, what you hear is what you're going to get. The only way to change it right now would be to re-record the entire thing again and I'd rather just record new songs for the most part than redo old ones.
