Hi there gang,
After reading throw the Tamurkahn-Throne of Chaos rules I am thinking of dusting off my Chaos Dwarfs. The rules look pretty solid and I have plenty of CD the only problem I have hit is the Bull Centaurs. From the pics on FW it looks like they are on a much bigger base these days. I can’t tell from the pics what size the base is. They are listed as monstrous beasts for their unit type. I don’t have any other armies that have monstrous beasts so I have no idea what kind of bases they use. Is it a 50mm or 40mm? Can any of you guys help me out here? The FW centaurs are nice, but I have 30 some of the old metal ones so I will just be re-basing them instead of shelling out thousands of $$. Any help here will be much appreciated.

A halfling on a monster base doesn't make a giant. The FW bull centaurs are double the size and 4times the volume at least:

It looks like a 50x75mm base to me.

Thanks. 50X75 seems really big, but from the pic I think your right.

They are on the same bases as the screaming bell. 60x100. The models are HUGE!

I don't think so. Looking at the pic above the cav model is about half the width and only alittle shorter in length. I think the 50x75 is right. 60x100 would have them bigger then mornfang riders, and that seems off.

The real Bullcentraurs from the REAL chaos dwarves are 25x50, standard calvary base. Not sure about forge world since it totally ruins what chaos dwarves are.

10k+ High Elf
6.5k Dwarf
7k Original Chaos Dwarf (not the crappy forge world)
6k Bretonnia
7k Wood Elf
6k Dark Elf
8k Tomb Kings
5k Beastmen
5k Lizardmen
7k Daemons of Chaos (roughly 2.5k all but Tzeentch, I find them useless in 8th other than flamers and heralds)
5.5k Empire

A person in my gaming group has them. Regardless of the picture , the base size is 60x100. And yes they are bigger than mounfangs.

WOW, that is crazy dumb. They should have more wounds to be on a base that size. But these days all that goes out the window with all of the crazy monsters they are coming up with.

Thanks for the eye witness view though. I don't venture to stores or tournaments much these days, mostly late night basement brawls, so I might put them on 50x50s. 50s make sense given the stats but anything else seems ridiculous.

A little off topic, but its my thread.

Why do you say that? What don't you like? I have played them for a long time and like some of what they have done. For my tastes the FW stuff is a little too steam punk for WH, but I stick to the old big hat models when it was all magic. The FW models are ok, but the rules are cool.
