hi...sorry if this is in a spot it doesnt go...considering there is no tactic section for warmahordes...
well... I play cygnar...and ofet...very often...my opponent is goreshade...and I have no idea how to deal with him. like it seems impossible to feth him over in any way.
oppenent runs something like
goreshade
tartarus
the withershadow buttholes
an asston of banethralls and bane knights...
also one defiler i think. and some thing that allows him to cast one of his casters spells. it is a solo...i just cant figure out how to kill this list...im thinking pCAINE but he doesnt have magesight so his feat wont be of much use right?

Look for the assasination runs. He seems to have a very melee list so maybe a cygnarian gunline is in order? Look mainly foe AOE type stuff on your Jacks and big guns-it seems that this guy your playing dosnt rely on Jacks much. If you need Melee Jacks then go for stuff with thresher. That "thing that allows him to cast one of his casters spells" is a skarlock and yes they can be annoying or nasty depending on how they are used. The Withershadow Combine(please dont get vulgar) are also nasty but only if you let them be. Try not shooting them. All you have to do is kill one and their effectiveness is really reduced. Also try sending infantry to engage them instead of jacks. They are specificaly desighned to engage Jacks so if they find themselves mobbed by infantry then they will soon suffer. Remember Goreshade the Bastard(im assuming you are reffering to him) is essentially a teleport homer for a unit of 6 banes so try to force him to pop his feat early. this will save the invetable "oh crap" moment later in the game when Gorshade brings them in right infront of your caster. Shooting the Baneknights may kill some but will speed them up. Only shoot them if you are confident that you can A) finish them off or reduce thier numbers significantly this turn or B) your shot will do enough damage to be worth it. Try using that big Jack of yours with the quake cannon-Baneknights on thier arses are not Baneknights advancing. Remember that they can go ghostly. Banethralls have stealth so the only shooting youll be getting at them will be from point blank. Have 2 or 3 of your heavy infantry units standing by, preferably supported by a heavy Jack or 2. Also try having a speedbump unit just infront of these so that they will not be charging you.

I have had great use of Orin Midwinter's null magic against pGoreshade. He is a focus 7 caster so I kept Midwinter 2 1/2" in front of my own focus 7 caster. This made pGoreshade have to stay way out of the action or risk being in the 12" null zone bubble. Since it is an action it can't really be nulled out unless there is a spell or feat that does not allow special actions. Very useful for 2 points. Plus his lighting arc is great against bane Thralls when you shoot your own jacks with it. Also, have you thought of running a lighting list against Goreshade and his horde since you face it so much. Chuck some cheap jacks near the units of bane thralls hit the jack with lighting mutiple times through an Arc Node. This will bypass the stealth issue and take out bane thralls. Take a good tarpit unit to protect your caster and just act like Odin across the board chucking lighting arcs everywhere. Also, if you can get something that can do trample or ride by attacks on the bane thralls will be good.

Baneknights dont have stealth do they  And nor does gorshade or the skarlock. If you kill the Skarlock and the destroy the Defilers arcnode then he will have to bring Goreshade forwards if he wishes to cast spells.

pShade has shadowmancer.
eShade has occultation.
For Stealth purposes.
Cygnar options: Thunderhead for purge like abilities.
Wierdly enough: Commandos with their WA sprays are not bad vs. bane thralls. Gun mages can take out the front wave easy enough. B13 can deny a charge lane with Ryan and a fire beacon can allow other things to shoot at stealthed options.
Cover fire is another option to consider. Stormcallers and mass triangulations will take its toll over the course of the game.

I still think throw a cheap light jack up near the Thralls, bounce lighting arcs from the arc node into the Thralls. That would kill them off quickly too.

The Arcaine Tempest Gun Mage Officer grants the unit he is attached to True Sight which removes stealth.

Get within 19" of pGoreshade. If he has cast Shadowmancer rejoice because that means 3 less ARM.
Cast True Shot, get focus from Squire, get extra shot from Reinholdt (obviously not in this order), pop Feat and easily kill pGoreshade with 8 shots of up to POW 20!
