IIRC use it to move enemy models too. So you could move an enemy model out of the way so you can open a charge corridor.

The model doesn't have to be moved near the Seraph, it can be moved away from it. The only requirement is that the model was within 2" of the Seraph (or the warlock that cast the animus), at some point during the Seraph's movement and that the "target" model be placed completely within 2" of its original position.
Also, Slipstream only works on Friendly Faction models, so you can't use it to move enemy models.
