Subject: Size of the Archeotech Force Dome generator

In the Crusade of Fire campaign you have the ability to deploy an Archeotech Force Dome generator in certain games.
Any ideas on how big it is? Are we talking a 40mm base or is it more like a building? The definition is on page 106 of the BRB. But there wasn't any indication of size.
Size matters as the effects are in effect up to 6" from its side. So, something like 24"x24" would be an incredible boon versus something 1" across.
Thanks,

Probably on the standard infantry base. I was thinking about this myself, and it seems the most fair to use the infantry base. You can use one of the old Shield Generators from Battle for Macragge for reference.

the Force Dome generator has no listed size in the Archeotech section of terrain but most of the time I would model it as something that could fit on a 60mm base, anything larger I would call shenanigans and MFA

Unless the size is given in the crusade of fire book(Likely not), then there is no defined Size for Archeotech Artifacts. There are a few things to remember the Force dome itself is Impassable and as a Deploy-able terrain piece it should be placed before all terrain and counts as one of the pieces for that 24"x24" Section of table. While a larger Force dome Grants a larger AOE, It also has a number of other effects: 1) It denies any movement through it, Only Skimmers, Jetbikes, and Flyerscan move over/Land on it(assuming it is physically possible for the skimmers and Jetbikes). 2) any models within the 6" of it's borders receive the Invul save, even from other models within the area of effect. So your enemy in a 24"x24" dome generator can easily get within range to benefit as well(especially since it is known as a Dome generator from pre-terrain deployment) thus negating any sense of tactical benefit to you. 3) If you were to deploy a 48"x1/2" dome generator in to\he back edge of your DZ; you would likely both get labeled "TFG" and be told "Good game" on the spot. Edit: Crusade of Fire Specific: Archeotech Force domes are defined in the Crusade of fire book as a Counter, this counter should be the same size as any other counters you are using(Such as objective counters).

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

It seems that all of the archeotech stuff needs to be determined with your opponent. I'd say mounted on a 40mm or 60mm base seems about right, personally. It gives you enough room to convert up something that looks good, but isn't ridiculously huge.

The Crusade of Fire book actually says to place it after the forces are deployed... So it's the last thing on the table.

I think this seals it. The word counter combined with the fact it's deployed last is probably the best hint as to a suggested size. So, I'll model one on either a 40mm or 60mm base, depending on what I have available.
Thanks all.
