Subject: Chaos vs Imperium 6k mega battle - video + photos
Powerfist Gaming held an open day on Saturday including free food, sounds like my open day .
I arranged a 6k game between Chaos and Imperium, the Imperium forces ended up being nearly all Guard with a hint of Sisters. The Guard had like 6 Vendettas, 5 Manticores, crap load of skyfire stuff and a crap load of tanks.
In the end the Imperium picked up a victory with 15 points to 9 points, wasn't too bad I s'pose considering the might of I.G vs CSM and Daemons.
I saw 5 manticores, 2 basilisks and a couple battle tanks and thought mother of god this is going to be one sided.... Then 5 of 6 vendettas came on lol.... Not sure chaos has the tools to combat that ha ha.

No kidding. Perhaps with some very lucky infiltrating, but the long-range firepower and flyers IG can dish in higher points pretty much makes all other issues moot.
In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.
In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

Yup, I thought gak the bed when I saw all those tanks. Add in a sneaky Astropath to mess about with my reserves for Daemons too...

Not sure why the chaos player showed up, the IG list was vastly superior.
